The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and securing top talent across all levels, from entry-level to professional and technical roles. This specialist expertly sources candidates from both internal and external channels, conducts thorough screenings and interviews, and provides thoughtful recommendations for hiring managers. As a key collaborator, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will partner closely with hiring managers to define essential skills and experience and proactively build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
This position does not have direct reports.
Essential Duties:
Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Manages the end-to-end recruitment process for a diverse range of roles.
- Partners closely with hiring managers to conduct in-depth hiring intake meetings to understand departmental needs, and define essential skills, experience, and cultural fit for open positions.
- Develops and executes comprehensive sourcing strategies utilizing a variety of channels, including applicant tracking systems, job boards, professional networks, social media, community partnerships, and industry and college events.
- Conducts thorough candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate qualifications, experience, and cultural alignment.
- Presents qualified candidates to hiring managers with detailed summaries and recommendations.
Strategic Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Develops and maintains a robust talent pipeline by forging and nurturing positive relationships within local and national communities which includes engaging with universities, professional organizations, and other relevant talent pools.
- Proactively identifies and engages passive candidates through strategic outreach and networking.
- Leverages market intelligence to inform recruitment strategies and identify emerging talent trends.
- Attends local career fairs, networking, and other recruitment events.
- Leads the organization and execution of all Childhelp hiring events.
Candidate Experience & Engagement
- Provides timely and transparent communication to candidates keeping them informed on application status and next steps.
- Acts as a brand ambassador for Childhelp, effectively communicating our value proposition and company culture.
Offer Management & Negotiation
- Extends verbal offers to candidates selected by the hiring team.
- Drafts competitive employment offers, including compensation, benefits, and relocation terms, in collaboration with Human Resources and hiring managers.
- Skillfully engages in offer negotiations to secure top talent while adhering to company guidelines and compensation structures.
Collaboration & Consultation
- Serves as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing guidance on recruitment best practices, market insights, and interviewing techniques.
- Updates hiring intake plan and advises new recruitment strategies when necessary.
- Collaborates effectively with the Human Resources team to ensure a seamless talent acquisition and onboarding process.
Data & Compliance
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) per standard procedures and audit guidelines.
- Ensures all recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Tracks and analyzes recruitment metrics to identify areas for improvement and report on key performance indicators.
- Maintains complete, orderly requisition files per standard portioning procedures and HR Audit.
