The Talent Acquisition & Volunteer Manager at EGM will be instrumental in building a strong team of staff and volunteers dedicated to making a positive impact on the community. This position involves developing and implementing recruitment strategies, managing the volunteer program, and ensuring a positive experience for all candidates and volunteers. The ideal Talent Acquisition & Volunteer Manager will be highly organized, detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, creativity, and a deep commitment to the teachings of Christ with a demonstrated ability to integrate those teachings into daily work and interactions with colleagues and clients.
The schedule is 20 hours a week, Monday – Friday, and may require weekends occasionally. Actual schedule will be agreed upon between candidate and hiring manager. This position can be a hybrid position, in-office requirements will be agreed upon between the candidate and the hiring manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of talent acquisition.
- Collaborate with the Chief of Staff to understand staffing needs, develop and implement innovative talent acquisition strategies to attract qualified candidates for staff positions.
- Collaborate with the Chief of Staff to understand volunteer needs, develop and implement innovative talent acquisition strategies to attract qualified candidates for volunteer opportunities.
- Utilize various channels to source candidates, including job boards, social media, community events, and networking.
- Screening applications and selecting qualified candidates.
- Schedule interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Organize orientation sessions and training for new staff and volunteers to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Represent Everett Gospel Mission at job fairs, community events, and outreach activities to promote staff and volunteer opportunities and build relationships with potential candidates.
- Collaborate with community partners to enhance recruitment efforts and expand candidate pipelines.
- Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to support shelter operations and events.
- Develop and maintain a volunteer schedule, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and activities.
- Foster a positive supportive environment for volunteers, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Uphold and promote the values and mission for the shelter in all interactions and activities.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions and other organizational activities as .

Qualifications
- Proven experience in recruitment, volunteer management.
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a non-profit or faith-based organization.
- Experience with database systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good negotiating tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Flexibility: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software.
- Compassionate and empathetic, with a strong commitment to serving those in need.
- Ability to work in an active environment.
- Frequent standing, walking and sitting. Moving from building to building, being outdoors regularly throughout every shift.
- Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds.
