Talent Acquisition & Talent Management Specialist

Tritium Power Solutions AU
Full-time
On-site
Queensland, Australia
$120,000 - $120,000 AUD yearly

Tritium is building a world-class engineering organisation to power the next generation of DC fast charging. That means we are in a constant, global search for exceptional people (particularly engineers) and we are serious about finding them wherever they are in the world and bringing them to where the work happens.

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who thrives in specialist, proactive recruiting and who can also contribute meaningfully to our existing talent strategically when hiring activity slows. This is not a transactional recruiter role. It is a search-driven, capability-focused role at the centre of how Tritium builds and sustains technical excellence.

The role

Your primary focus will be sourcing and attracting highly specialised engineering talent globally, particularly across power electronics, electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing and adjacent technical disciplines. You will lead end-to-end hiring for hard-to-fill roles, with a strong emphasis on direct sourcing and headhunting rather than reliance on inbound applicants or external agencies.

Tritium recruits internationally and relocates talent into key hubs, particularly our Brisbane engineering headquarters and our Tennessee manufacturing and operations hub. You will work closely with hiring leaders to understand not just what skills are needed today, but what capability we are deliberately building for the future.

When recruitment demand eases, you will shift focus into talent management activities. This includes supporting succession planning for critical roles, identifying internal talent and mobility opportunities, contributing to talent reviews, and helping build pipelines so Tritium is less reactive and more intentional about how capability is developed and retained.

What you’ll be doing

You will proactively identify, engage and assess top engineering and technical talent across global markets, often before they are actively looking. You will partner closely with engineering and technical leaders to deeply understand role requirements, capability gaps and future needs. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including search strategy, candidate engagement, assessment coordination, offers and relocation considerations.

On the talent management side, you will support internal talent identification, succession and pipeline development, help map internal capability against future workforce needs, and contribute to talent review and workforce planning discussions. You will bring an external market lens to internal talent conversations, helping leaders make grounded, realistic decisions about build versus buy.

What we’re looking for

You have strong experience in specialist or executive-style recruiting, with a clear track record of proactive sourcing and headhunting rather than purely reactive recruitment. Experience recruiting engineers or technical roles in engineering, technology, manufacturing, energy or adjacent industries is highly valued.

You are comfortable recruiting globally and understand the complexity of international talent markets, relocation, and cross-border hiring considerations. You can build trust with highly technical leaders and are confident asking hard questions to clarify what “great” actually looks like.

You are also interested in the broader talent lifecycle. You don’t see talent management as filler work, but as a way to make recruiting smarter, reduce risk, and build a stronger organisation over time. You are analytical, pragmatic, and comfortable working with imperfect data in a fast-moving environment.

Why Tritium

Tritium is solving real, hard problems at the intersection of power electronics, manufacturing and global infrastructure. We work with some of the world’s largest businesses to invent products that don’t currently exist in the market and we have the best and brightest alongside some cutting edge equipment to make this happen.

This role gives you exposure to genuinely complex technical hiring, global talent markets, and meaningful talent management work — not just filling roles, but shaping the organisation’s long-term capability. You’re also going to be joining a small, focused team of HR professionals (4 of us here in Brisbane and more globally) who also value cutting edge technology to make both our professional lives easier, and our employee process streamlined and ultra fast. From job offer to the candidate having a contract and providing their onboarding information is measured in minutes, and we’ve been known to turn a candidate into an on site employee in less than 24 hours. We don’t do it by burning the candle at both ends – we’ve done it by designing the function from the ground up to embrace automation, AI, and everything that turns our team into superhumans.

If you love tech, thrive in a global environment, and aren’t afraid to experiment and learn, this is an opportunity you wont’ want to miss.
