Base Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 (commensurate with experience)

Full-cycle recruitmentĀ
Consults with Managers, Supervisors, or Directors to determine recruitment needs and identify hiring criteria.Ā Ā
Identifies and implements innovative and effective recruitment and retention strategies and designs attractive job postings.Ā
Plans, coordinates and implements all recruitment activities including posting jobs, sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, conducting phones screens and interviews, executing background/reference checks, creating offer letters and/or contracts, and onboarding new hires.Ā Ā
Ensures that recruitment practices align with VHAās DEI strategy, VHA recruitment policies, and collective agreements for unionized roles.Ā Ā Ā
Keeps accurate records of information regarding applicants and recruitmentĀ Ā
Utilizes Workday and GoldCare to maintain hiring records and documentationĀ
Collaborates with recruitment agencies, job developers, and employment centers to identify talent for the organization.Ā
Ensures that background checks are accurately completed upon hire as per VHAās policies.Ā
Ensures that candidate files are accurately updated throughout the recruitment process in the Applicant Tracking System.Ā

Orientation & OnboardingĀ
Delivers initial orientation training for new hiresĀ
Schedules Physical Readiness Test and assists with coordinating Field TrainingĀ
Delivers mask fit testing for new hires as Ā Ā
Makes recommendations and enhances orientation program.Ā Ā
Attends departmental and companywide meetings and participates with internal and external Committees.Ā

HR Planning, Administration and ProgramsĀ
Assists in identifying hiring needs based on input from all departments and future initiatives.Ā Ā
Monitors internal activities and external information to identify trends and impact on the organization.Ā Ā
Investigates unique recruitment/hiring strategies and makes recommendations for use at VHA.Ā Ā
Coordinates information and gathers statistics to assist with workforce planning.Ā Ā
Maintains records and statistics for HR activities and projects.Ā Ā
Writes correspondence, reports and other support for HR Department.Ā Ā
Contributes and participates in employee relations and recognition initiatives.Ā
Ensures that employee and service provider files are accurately created and maintained in the recruitment and HRIS systems for new hires.Ā

Participates in team meetings with a commitment to contribution and service development.Ā Ā
Takes part in project teams as appropriate.Ā Ā
Provides statistics and information for reports and decision making.Ā Ā
