Join Childhelp, the nation’s largest nonprofit dedicated to ending child abuse and neglect, as a Talent Acquisition Specialist based at our Scottsdale, AZ headquarters.
In this essential role, you will lead full-cycle recruitment for a wide variety of positions, proactively source and engage candidates, and partner closely with hiring managers to build a strong talent pipeline aligned with Childhelp’s mission and culture.
As our Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will:
Full-Cycle Recruitment:
Manage the end-to-end hiring process — from intake meetings to candidate screening, interviewing, and offer management — for roles ranging from entry-level to professional and technical.
Strategic Sourcing & Pipeline Development:
Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, universities, and professional networks to build a diverse, high-quality talent pool. Represent Childhelp at career fairs and recruitment events.
Candidate Experience & Employer Branding:
Provide timely, transparent communication to candidates and serve as a compelling brand ambassador to attract top talent.
Offer Management & Negotiation:
Extend verbal offers, prepare competitive employment packages, and negotiate terms to secure outstanding candidates.
Collaboration & Compliance:
Work closely with hiring managers and the HR team to ensure smooth hiring and onboarding processes. Maintain accurate ATS records and ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws.
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation. Experience recruiting for a range of roles, from entry-level to technical and professional positions, is essential.
Expertise:
Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, employment branding, sourcing methods, and compliance with employment laws. Experience developing talent pipelines and engaging passive candidates is a plus.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Comfortable leveraging job boards, social media platforms, and recruitment analytics tools.
Communication & Relationship Building:
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to build trust and collaborate with hiring managers, candidates, and community partners. A natural relationship-builder and effective brand ambassador.
Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess hiring needs, identify challenges, and implement creative, data-informed solutions. Able to adjust recruitment strategies based on market trends and organizational priorities.
Project Management:
Ability to manage multiple open requisitions, hiring events, and sourcing initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and organization.
