Position Overview
The Recruiter / Onboarding Specialist will manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding efforts for a variety of positions across the organization, including construction field personnel, CDL drivers, skilled trades, mechanics, and office staff. This role requires someone who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, experience sourcing hard-to-fill roles, and the ability to create a positive candidate experience from initial outreach through onboarding.
What You’ll Do
- Manage full-cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring for field and office positionsÂ
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruiting strategiesÂ
- Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates, particularly within construction and skilled trades industriesÂ
- Post and manage job advertisements across job boards, social media platforms, and company career pagesÂ
- Source candidates through Indeed, referrals, networking, trade schools, and industry eventsÂ
- Conduct phone screenings and coordinate interviews with hiring managersÂ
- Ensure timely communication and follow-up with candidates throughout the hiring processÂ
- Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, MVR checks, and pre-employment onboarding requirementsÂ
- Manage onboarding paperwork and ensure completion of all new hire documentationÂ
- Assist with orientation scheduling and onboarding coordination for new employeesÂ
- Maintain accurate candidate records and employee files within ATS and HR systemsÂ
- Track recruiting metrics and assist with hiring reports as neededÂ
- Support HR administrative functions and additional projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, onboarding, or HR experience preferredÂ
- Experience recruiting within construction, transportation, skilled trades, or industrial industries strongly preferredÂ
- Strong understanding of recruiting platforms, social media sourcing, and applicant tracking systems (ATS)Â
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skillsÂ
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Professional demeanor with strong follow-up and attention to detailÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and WordÂ
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferredÂ
- Must be able to work on-site in Boca Raton, FL (this position is not remote or hybrid)Â
