The Talent Acquisition Manager, Transportation, will be responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of the transportation recruitment process. They will need to be able to source, attract, identify and hire the top talent as it aligns with the business needs. They will work with hiring managers to assess the skills needed, behaviors, and traits needed to achieve the hiring goals. As a champion of the CTDI culture, Talent Acquisition Managers will be asked to embrace the CTDI mission of maintaining high quality standards and continued growth as they support the objectives of the business. They will align their strategies with the hiring managers in relation to their talent needs and provide support through hands-on recruiting process.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the hiring managers to identify staffing needs to develop recruitment strategies and staffing plans that meet the business needs.
  • Partner with safety team and Operations to ensure candidates meet all regulatory and internal qualification standards.
  • Work with Leadership, Workforce Operations, Hiring mangers on workforce planning needs for transportation business.
  • Manage the full recruitment process for all assigned transportation positions from requisition to hire.
  • Train and support recruiters on transportation-specific compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for all transportation hiring activities.
  • Develop strong business relationships and manage the hiring manager expectations.
  • Efficiently source, qualify and present a diverse line up of candidates for all assigned positions.
  • Utilize Transportation Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to track candidates, manage pipelines, and ensure compliance with hiring workflows.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines by utilizing innovative sourcing tools and techniques.
  • Promote company recruiting standards among hiring managers and candidates.
  • Counsel hiring managers on candidate selections and make sensible recommendations to encourage solid hires.
  • Build strong candidate pipelines through job boards, referrals, community outreach, and targeted sourcing strategies.
  • Comfortable negotiating salaries with candidates.
  • Stay current with compliance with all applicable employment laws and company policies.
  • Quickly and efficiently fill all assigned roles.
  • Display excellent customer service, a positive attitude and high energy to deliver on goals and not be afraid to exceed expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 5+ years of Transportation Recruiting experience required, preferably in a staffing/recruiting/talent acquisition role preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with hands on full cycle recruiting required
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong Professional communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with hiring managers, division leaders and candidates
  • Understanding of Transportations industry
  • Experience working with an ATS; Tenstreet experience preferred but not required
  • Previous experience promoting company standards is a plus
  • A customer service mindset
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in the workplace
