Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Reports To: Talent Acquisition Manager

Location: Cincinnati, OH (on site)

Job Summary:

Collaborate with Hiring Managers, the Talent Acquisition Manager, and the rest of the HR team to proactively identify future hiring needs. Attract candidates using applicant tracking system (ATS), social media networks, attendance at recruiting/job fairs, college career center events, employee referrals, etc. Ensure the use of industry best practices to attract, hire and retain the most skilled and best-fit employees while growing a strong talent pipeline.

 

Primary Duties:

  • Collaborates with TA Manager and HR Team to set up, implement and manage the corporate Applicant Tracking System to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the talent acquisition process.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers and HR to identify and draft detailed and accurate job postings, supporting job descriptions and hiring criteria via the company intake process.
  • Performs job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective talent acquisition methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, behavioral assessment results and the needs of the organization.
  • Facilitates job posting and advertisement processes to source and recruit candidates using applicant tracking system (ATS) and other industry best practices.
  • Screens candidates’ resumes and job applications, and coordinates candidate assessments using approved behavioral assessment tools.
  • Conducts interviews and assesses applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, wiring, experience and aptitude.
  • Schedules interviews with Hiring Managers; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Acts as a point of contact to build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resources staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinates, attends and participates in job fairs and other industry hiring events as needed.
  • Manages high-volume hourly requisitions through the full recruiting cycle, prioritizing speed-to-fill against weekly headcount targets during active ramp periods.
  • Serves as the on-site point of contact for staffing agency partners, distributing requisitions, managing candidate flow and submittals, and coordinating temp-to-hire conversions in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Manager.
  • Partners daily with site operations supervisors and site HR to align on staffing priorities, shift coverage, and new-hire readiness.
  • Provides analytical and well documented talent acquisition reports to the TA Manager / HR team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist (either in-house in a company or a staffing agency specialist), managing all phases of the talent acquisition process
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference check, etc.) and progressive talent acquisition strategies.
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, behavioral, etc.).
  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems (CMS) – 5 years plus preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) – 5 years preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant professional field preferred.
  • SHRM’s Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential or other HR certification a plus.
  • High-volume hourly recruiting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment, strongly preferred.
  • Experience coordinating staffing agency partners or vendor-managed hiring programs a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer and phone.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.

  • Balancing, pushing and pulling
  • Crouching, kneeling, reaching and grasping objects
  • Walking: move about inside the office and/or manufacturing and distribution facilities as well as airport/travel needs
  • Capable of occasional traveling as required

Salary Range: $60,000 - $68,000 plus bonus
