Having proudly celebrated our 50-year milestone in 2025 and with some strategic plans for expansion, we are excited to appoint a Talent Acquisition Lead within our national People & Culture (P&C) function.

This role will deliver effective strategies to attract, assess and hire across all levels of the firm including legal, corporate services, support and early career roles. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our culture and supporting our national business growth and continuously strengthening MCW’s employment brand within the legal industry.

The Opportunity

The role is an exciting step for somebody wanting to build their next career move in a national, multi-faceted talent role. Sitting at the intersection between strategy, people and business growth, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end recruitment support across MCW’s national footprint. You will collaborate with the Head of People & Culture, ensuring alignment with workforce plans and business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Recruitment Leadership

  • Partner with senior leaders and hiring managers to understand resourcing needs and provide expert advice on sourcing strategies, market insights and best practice selection methods.
  • Manage and continuously improve recruitment processes to ensure efficiency, compliance and a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Monitor and report on recruitment metrics and trends to inform workforce planning and decision making.

End-to-End Recruitment Management

  • Oversee all recruitment activity across the firm including legal, professional and corporate services roles.
  • Communicate and consult effectively with principals and hiring managers to support resourcing needs across teams.
  • Source applicants through online channels, such as SEEK, LinkedIn and other professional networks.

Early Careers and Employer Branding

  • Lead the design and delivery of graduate and law clerk recruitment programs, including university engagement, application management, assessment and onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with law schools, professional associations, and external partners to promote the firm’s early career opportunities.
  • Strengthen the firm’s employment brand through targeted marketing, social media and candidate engagement activities.

Continuous Improvement and Systems

  • Maintain and enhance the recruitment templates to support consistency and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and the candidate experience across all stages of the recruitment process.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, legal market developments and emerging talent acquisition practices.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline and/or significant demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in Human Resources (HR) in a recruitment capacity.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Recruitment Consultant, Talent Acquisition Specialist/Advisor, or similar.
  • Experience in organising and undertaking multiple tasks with competing deadlines whilst applying effective problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional, and responsive manner.
  • Experience working in professional services and knowledge of applicant tracking systems will be highly regarded.
