POSITION OVERVIEW

The Talent Acquisition (TA) team plays a pivotal role in shaping UNS Energy’s future success by identifying, attracting and hiring top-performing professionals and/or skills craft and trade employees, in classified (union) and unclassified (non-union) roles. The TA Coordinator is an important part of this team, providing support to the full life cycle Talent Acquisition process, including pre-hire and post-hire activities. Coordinates candidate transactional processes and communications, data maintenance, onboarding processes, and documentation. 

POSITION-RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES

TA Coordination:

• Coordinates with TA partners, hiring teams and candidates to schedule and organize interviews.

• Creates and/or formats job postings and uses Applicant Tracking System (ATS) technology to post jobs internally and externally; administers external postings using third-party systems, processes and resources.

• Assists with planning and implementing recruiting events and outreach initiatives. 

• Manages applicant inquiry inboxes, responding to applicants according to service level agreements; escalates or routes inquiries, as appropriate.

• Coordinates pre-employment screening processes (e.g., skills testing, background screening, drug screening, etc.); partner with local HR business partners for drug screening and physicals as needed.

• Sends, processes and manages pre-employment and onboarding documentation using designated technology resources (e.g., offer letters, tax forms, conflicts of interest, safety documents, etc.)

• Develops deep knowledge of ATS functionality and query capabilities to support TA activities, such as entering screening criteria, running reports, finding data to answer inquiries, etc.

• Performs system entry functions and ensures proper documentation of entries and job/candidate data; ensures data integrity and may support or train others in the use of HR recruitment technologies.

• Maintains tracking spreadsheets and/or processes owned by the TA team.

• Provides on-going guidance, training and support in the use of HR recruitment technologies to ensure data integrity.

• Supports administration of the TEP Intern Investment Program.

• Supports content updates for Company career site, intranet and external website.

• Coordinates temporary employee requests and approvals, partnering with temporary employment agencies to fill requests.

• Demonstrates proficiency in the use of and compliance with collective bargaining agreements (as they relate to bidding, testing and other related duties).

• Maintains compliance records related to the Affirmative Action Plan, EEOC, OFFCCP, and internal auditing standards; may also be asked to furnish documentation associated with the recruiting process as part of internal investigations.

• Contributes to the design, development and continuous improvement of Talent Acquisition and HR processes and procedures.

• Assists with HR initiatives and special projects, as needed.

• Maintains confidentiality and independent judgement in the management and administration of sensitive information.

Team Contribution & Collaboration:

• Partners with or requests assistance from the HR Solutions Center (HRSC) for transactional support services in alignment with their scope of responsibility.

  • Initiates or responds to assigned escalated tickets from the HRSC according to service level agreement standards; prioritizes the employee experience and escalates as appropriate.
  • Performs personal administrative tasks (e.g., travel arrangements, pro cards, expense reports), calendaring, vendor management, and assigned administrative responsibilities.

• Partners with or requests assistance from the HR Systems & Analytics team for HR systems support, data and reporting needs in alignment with their scope of responsibility.

• Leads or contributes to the design, development, documentation, and continuous improvement of TA and HR processes and procedures; adheres to approved processes and quality standards.

• Assists with TA and HR initiatives, programs/processes and special projects, as assigned. • Participates in ATS system design, testing, upgrade, and/or enhancement.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.)

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a Talent Acquisition Coordinator or related HR role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups across functional lines.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.  Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated ability of advanced levels of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), applicant tracking system (ATS) technology, and relational databases (PeopleSoft and ServiceNow preferred).
  • The ability to follow through on projects by using independent judgment and analytical skills.
  • Coordinate, prioritize and schedule assigned work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills with flexibility to handle multiple projects or tasks, and to prioritize assignments in a changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing relationships and creative problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree or higher.

Hourly pay of $28.85 - $31.25+ depending on experience. Competitive total rewards package.
