Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a co-op student to join our Talent Acquisition team within the Human Resources department. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment with an enthusiastic and engaged team, with a passion for hiring top talent. This is a four-month co-op term located at our Scarborough office and will follow a hybrid working policy.

Co-op Program Initiatives

  • Case competition with other students to solve a real-world business problem

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Consult with hiring managers to identify role requirements and objectives

  • Review and post job descriptions on TCI’s career website & universities job boards

  • Assess applications and provide a shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers

  • Use recruiting tools like tests and assessments to evaluate candidates’ skills

  • Conduct phone screen conversations and Microsoft Teams interviews

  • Maintain accurate records of the recruitment process using Workday

  • Provide feedback on the overall co-op recruiting strategy

  • Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager on special projects  

  • Get involved in other areas you are interested in

What You’ll Bring:

  • Currently enrolled in a college/university co-op program, preferably in Business Management/Human Resources

  • Excellent organizational and customer service adeptness

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Effective oral and written communication experience

  • Strong multi-tasking and analytical skills, with the aptitude to handle ad-hoc assignments

  • Teamwork experience through school, extra-curricular activities, or past work assignments
