Overview

Loretto is a comprehensive, continuing care organization providing a variety of healthcare services for older adults across Central New York. We are seeking a motivated and professional intern to join our Talent Acquisition team as a Customer Service Intern. This hands-on internship offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in human resources, employee relations, and recruitment operations. The intern will serve as a first point of contact at our Talent Center front desk, assisting new hires and current employees with onboarding paperwork and general HR-related inquiries.

The successful candidate will work on a flexible schedule, up to 20 hours per week, in-person at our main Syracuse campus on Brighton Avenue.Ā This is an unpaid internship.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist new hires as they arrive for onboarding appointments.
  • Guide candidates through completion of required employment paperwork, including I-9 forms and tax documents.
  • Respond to basic questions from employees and candidates regarding onboarding, job applications, or general HR processes.
  • Ensure accurate document collection and organization for compliance purposes.
  • Maintain a professional, welcoming, and confidential front-desk environment.
  • Support Talent Acquisition Coordinators and Specialists with special projects as needed.
  • Provide exceptional service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or a related field.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
