Talent Acquisition

As a Talent Resourcer, you’ll be helping to change the world through science and technology apprenticeships. With your obsession for spotting potential, you’ll seek out and find the most amazing talent in the market to become fearless apprentices, who have the potential to develop into awesome longer-term employees within businesses. Not only will you be providing apprentices with information, advice and guidance to help them find their perfect role, you'll be acting as a key advisor to Tiro's employers to ensure you place the right apprentices in the right roles to help businesses grow and succeed. Therefore, confidence in stakeholder management is essential for this role.

At Tiro, we’ve been helping hungry apprentices to join ambitious businesses since 2005. We really believe that great apprenticeships help everyone. Because there are remarkable apprentices out there just waiting to be found, and fantastic employment opportunities waiting to be filled. But our work will never be just about getting bums on seats and pocketing our commission. In our own small way, we’re helping to change the world – finding people that are working on COVID vaccines, finding new ways for technology to help humanity and helping to tackle the big issues of the day, like climate change. We’re proud to be playing our part in making that happen, and we’re looking for more like-minded people to join team Tiro.

The Role

Gone are the days of advertising, sitting back and waiting for the candidates to come flooding in - we're looking for much more than that! You'll tenaciously seek out candidates to fill apprenticeship vacancies for our businesses, which will in turn benefit the wider science and technology community. Thinking 'outside the box', you'll craft innovative recruitment campaigns to capture the imagination of potential apprentices.

You'll own the full-cycle recruitment processes for allocated apprenticeship vacancies. You'll actively seek and champion talent that can positively contribute to businesses, who don't necessarily 'tick all the boxes' and have great potential to grow and develop.

About you

We're looking for someone who LOVES the thought of changing lives through apprenticeships. If you care more about making money than making an impact, we're not the right place for you. You'll thrive building relationships with stakeholders, ensuring a win:win approach for our apprentices and our employers.

We don't believe in an itemised list of requirements to work at Tiro - we're looking for someone who has the the right attitude and aptitude. Who knows their own mind and isn’t afraid to have a strong opinion. Who likes to work under their own steam and doesn’t want or need to be micromanaged. Who gets a thrill from helping some of Britain’s best businesses grow. And who’s genuinely passionate about the worlds of science and technology.

You'll be a self-starter who thrives in a pacey environment. You'll be an excellent collaborator who loves nothing more than working alongside your teammates to achieve success. You'll rise to the challenge and never shy away from sharing feedback. You’ll give the role your all, be unafraid to take the odd calculated risk, and will fundamentally challenge us, because if you don’t change Tiro, you can’t succeed.

The Package

We LOVE people - the apprentices who’re brimming with potential, the business leaders who are crying out for extra help and our fantastic team who make it all happen. And if you love people, you treat them well. You pay them what they’re worth. You coach and support them. And give them the opportunities to progress. You take a chance on people because you see something special, and you know they’re worth it. At Tiro, we’ll look after you because we’re nothing without our people. We’ll never take you for granted and we’ll make sure work’s fun and rewarding. And in turn, we’ll ask you to treat our clients and our apprentices the same way – helping to give people their first big break and enabling businesses to grow. At Tiro, we make great things happen for people. And that starts with you.

You’ll receive:

  • Starting salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
  • Dedicated Talent Resourcer commission scheme
  • 28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Hours of work – you can choose your own hours, providing you’re around when stakeholders need you and clock up 37.5 hours per week
  • Remote working
  • Travel requirement
  • 5% employee / 3% employer pension contribution
  • Annual away day
  • Regular training and CPD opportunities
