The Role: Talent Acquisition Specialist – PS MIA

 

PS seeks an employee-oriented Human Resources professional who is highly organized with experience in multiple areas of HR including assisting in the recruiting process.  This position will collaborate with department managers on a regular basis and assist in identifying partnership opportunities.  

 

The ideal is superb at problem-solving, efficient in scheduling, precise in the recruitment process, and ability to multi-task.  This role work focuses on talent sourcing, recruiting, and hiring and onsite to support HR function in PS MIA and assist HR Business Partner MIA with tasks such as onboarding, employee engagement, and compliance. 

 

Must be resided in Greater Miami area, FL. This position will report to the HR Business Partner, MIA with a dotted line reporting to Corporate HR Manager.

 

Responsibilities & Expectations 

  • Work closely with management on all diversity initiatives involving recruitment to ensure fairness in hiring practices. 
  • Assisting the hiring manager with recruitment duties.
  • Developing policies and strategies for acquiring new talent.
  • Ensure proper onboarding for new hires and that the necessary paperwork is completed promptly and accurately. 
  • Conduct preliminary interviews with recruits to gauge interest, personality, and salary requirements. 
  • Publishing Job Postings on our career website and job sites.
  • Assisting the hiring team in screening candidate resumes.
  • Ensure proper onboarding for new hires, the necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Contacting candidate references and verifying education requirements if the background screening is not completed on candidates.
  • Actively work toward building a diverse and qualified team to support the organization. 
  • Work closely with the HRBP MIA to ensure seamless onboarding experience for new hires including document management, training coordination, and compliance tracking.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention - Collaborate with the HRBP MIA on engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture, enhance retention, and ensure employee satisfaction.
  • Assist with the administration of HR policies, employee record-keeping, and compliance with employment regulations.
  • General HR Assistance, provide support for other HR functions, including managing employee inquiries, assisting with performance management, and preparing HR-related reports.

Requirements 

  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference checks etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years of TA experience and strong knowledge of the MIA talent market. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated and naturally curious with the ability to achieve results in high-energy, fast, paced changing environment
  • The capability to thrive in a competitive environment

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven work experience in assisting in the recruiting process.
  • 1-2 years of human resources experience as a Talent Acquisition Associate.
  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Assessment Tool (HireVue) and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
