Essential Job Functions

  • Accurately maintains requisitions and maintain a working knowledge of all position openings
  • Screens applications, interviews, and evaluates capabilities of qualified applicants
  • Arranges for interviews with management or supervisory staff, or peers as appropriate
  • Ensures clear understanding of needs and assist in developing recruitment strategies
  • Reviews and clarifies staffing needs with appropriate managers and supervisors in assigned areas
  • Obtains references and all necessary credentials as appropriate
  • Extends job offers on behalf of the hospital
  • Assist with arranges for pre-employment health assessments
  • Generates and maintains required records, reports and files
  • Assists in preparing advertisements
  • Maintains open and ongoing communication with the applicants, managers, and supervisors
  • Maintains open and ongoing communication with HR Director and HR Staff
  • Communicates the policies and benefits of the hospital to applicants
  • Evaluates and communicates trends in recruitment and in the job market to recommend ideas for the development of strategies
  • Advises and assists management staff in the application and interpretation of personnel policies, transfers, and terminations
  • Plans, coordinates and participates in career day’s open houses and other recruitment related activities to attract qualified candidates
  • Provides accurate information and data regarding primary areas of recruitment
  • Attends required meetings and participates in recruitment related committees as requested



Requirements


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Three plus years experience in a hospital-based HR; RN Recruiting Experience Preferred
  • Strong internet recruiting background
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Proficiency in windows environment, excel, and word
  • Multi-tasked oriented;
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines, 
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
  • Ability to lift and carry items from car to office for job fairs (requires lifting and bending in weights in the 30 pound range).
