POSITION SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full-cycle recruiting of hourly positions, from entry-level skilled roles within a manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring consistent staffing to support production needs by managing job requisitions, partnering with staffing agencies, and building strong talent pipelines through community and school partnerships. As time allows, this individual will also support other recruitment and HR initiatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Full-Cycle Recruiting & Requisition Management
- Manage and prioritize production and manufacturing job requisitions from intake through hire
- Partner with hiring managers to identify workforce needs, position requirements, timelines, and candidate profiles
- Update and maintain accurate, relevant job descriptions
- Utilize creative sourcing techniques including networking, job boards, referrals, cold outreach, and recruiting events
- Screen, pre-qualify, interview, and evaluate candidates for skills, experience, and cultural alignment
- Coordinate and facilitate interview scheduling, feedback collection, and hiring decisions
- Create and extend offers of employment, including preparation of offer details and new hire paperwork
- Ensure timely, clear, and consistent communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the process
- Maintain a high-quality candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding
- Ensure compliance with recruitment policies, processes, and employment regulations
Staffing Agency Partnership Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external staffing agencies and vendor partners
- Communicate hiring needs, expectations, timelines, and performance standards to agency partners
- Participate in vendor processes, including open position updates, weekly time tracking, invoicing, and performance reviews
- Review, screen, and evaluate candidates submitted by agencies for quality and fit
- Monitor agency performance, including fill rates, candidate quality, attendance, and retention outcomes
- Provide feedback and coaching to agency partners to continuously improve results
- Serve as the primary liaison between the organization, agencies, and contract workforce
- Monitor contractor and seasonal employee attendance and time reporting using systems such as ADP
- Address attendance and performance concerns in real time in partnership with supervisors and agencies
- Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to build relationships and assess employee engagement
- Gather and communicate feedback from employees, contractors, and supervisors to HR and leadership
- Provide coaching and feedback to contractor employees in coordination with supervisors
- Make contract-to-hire recommendations supported by performance and attendance data
Pipeline Development & Community Engagement
- Identify, develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to ensure a steady pipeline of qualified candidates. This may include: partnerships with schools, technical colleges, workforce programs, and community organizations.
- Coordinate onsite tours, career exploration opportunities, and partnership engagement activities
- Represent the organization at job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach initiatives
- Support workforce development strategies that attract early-career, entry-level, and skilled trade talent
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting partnerships and outreach efforts
- Strengthen employer brand presence within the local community
Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track recruiting and workforce metrics including time-to-fill, applicant flow, attrition, attendance, and contractor utilization
- Maintain accurate data in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and other recruiting logs
- Analyze trends and identify opportunities to improve recruiting efficiency and workforce outcomes
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws, company policies, and hiring practices

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business management, HR, or marketing
- 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in manufacturing, production, or high-volume environments
- Demonstrate a high sense of urgency, self-management, ability to establish priorities, and work in both independent/team environments
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize and follow through on commitments
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to independently travel to job fairs or events
- Some evenings and/or weekends may be required
- Highly relationship-driven, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment
The starting target salary range is $67,000 - $82,000, depending upon qualifications and experience. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs.
In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for a profit-sharing opportunity.
