Job Overview:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist I, you will support the hiring process by sourcing, screening, and scheduling interviews for potential candidates. This role requires a strong foundation in communication, organizational skills, and a passion for helping find the right talent for our team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department managers to understand their staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies
• Create job descriptions and appropriate pay ranges for the position
• Source candidates through various cost-effective channels, including job boards, social media, and networking events
• Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidates' qualifications and fit for the role
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with department managers
• Conduct virtual and in-person interviews and assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit
• Manage the offer process, including negotiating salary and benefits
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all recruitment activities
• Create and facilitate a consistently applied on-boarding process and “First 90-days” schedule for employees
• Facilitate and schedule background and drug-testing for conditionally accepted candidates. 
• Effectively communicating with applicants ensuring onboarding is completed within a timely manner. 
•  Collaborate with the DOT & Fleet Compliance Manager to support a seamless and efficient onboarding process. 
• Build and maintain relationships with candidates and external recruitment partners
• Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and human resources
• Distribution of apparel and PPE
• Creating employee badges
• Other duties, as assigned. 

Salary Range: $19.23/hr – $24.00/hr 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Strong PC proficiency (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, etc.)

Work Location: This position will be based at our headquarters in Norwich, NY and is not a remote position.
