Summary of Major Functions:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will  focus on end-to-end recruitment, often for specialized positions. Responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees for the organization. Factor in the long-term goals of the organization and acknowledge that people play a huge role in our company’s future success. The Talent Acquisition Specialist has the organizational task of finding the most suitable person for a position and maintaining and growing the culture of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Use various methods to recruit and network with potential candidates including social media platforms, networking events, and job fairs.
  2. Actively work toward building a diverse and qualified team to support the organization.
  3. Source candidates and fill in vacant positions within the company.
  4. Understand strategic hiring goals of the business.
  5. Anticipate future hiring needs by analyzing the organization's development.
  6. Manage the entire recruitment process, from sourcing to onboarding.
  7. Using standardized screening techniques, assess the skills, qualifications, and experience of potential candidates.
  8. Schedule interviews of candidates and hiring managers; coordinate team interviews.
  9. Prepare candidates for interviews.
  10. Provide feedback to management about details regarding applications.
  11. Properly document recruiting actions and process steps in ATS.
  12. Counsel candidates regarding salary, company benefits, and work environment.
  13. Extend offers to successful candidates and manage salary negotiations.
  14. Along with the hiring managers and HR, ensure proper onboarding for new hires and the necessary paperwork is completed promptly and accurately.
  15. Meet with executive leadership to have a full-scale understanding of hiring needs and available positions within the company.
  16. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand the role and key attributes required and developing job descriptions for new roles.
  17. Stay updated and well researched with talent acquisition trends.
  18. Provide feedback to improve recruiting policies and practices; including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and other areas win which the company may not be competitive within the market.
  19. Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation in all states that the company operates.
  20. On a monthly basis prepare reports communicating key talent acquisition metrics.
  21. Other job duties as may reasonably be assigned.

  3. Experience in the continual development of talent pipelines and sourcing potential candidates
  4. Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks.
  5. Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
  6. Ability to speak knowledgeably about the company and answer any questions a potential hire may have.
  7. Firm understanding and implementation of recruiting metrics to drive decision-making is strongly preferred.
  8. Proficient in using company HRIS & ATS software to connect with and reach out to potential candidates.
  9. Familiarity with job boards and resume databases.
  10. Previous experience developing and executing recruiting marketing and branding strategies.
  11. A team player .
  12. Good time-management skills. 
  13. Great interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in HR/business/marketing/provider relations/ or related field preferred.
  2. PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
  3. Work experience of 8 years as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role in HR required
  4. Previous experience seeking talent recruitment and assisting with onboarding processes required.
  5. Experience working within the mental and behavioral health field strongly preferred.

 

Computer Skills:

  1. Must be able to effectively maneuver within an HRIS and ATS system.
  2. Minimum of intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  3. Must be able to efficiently learn and effectively work within various job boards and recruitment sites.

 

 

Physical Demands and Environment:

Physical demands of this job include but are NOT limited to:

Sitting frequently, standing occasionally, walking occasionally, talking constantly, hearing constantly, seeing constantly, reaching with arms and hands occasionally, crouching occasionally and using fingers intricately.  This position requires lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds occasionally. 

 

Environmental conditions of this job include but are NOT limited to:

99% inside, 99% normal temperature and 99% normal noise as expected in a medical office environment.
