POSITION TITLE: TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST REPORTS TO: SENIOR SUPERVISOR
OVER-TIME STATUS: EXEMPT PAY GRADE: 219A
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for planning, organizing, and assisting with the development and maintenance of Human Resources programs for the school division, including staffing, pre-employment classification, compensation, new employee and substitute orientation, staff training and professional development as deemed necessary, and other assigned areas. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Human Resources. Supervision is exercised over assigned staff members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Manages a range of services and functions to support the daily operations of the Department of Human Resources;
• Provides guidance to assigned support personnel and provides effective leadership that supports teamwork in the accomplishment of departmental objectives;
• Administers the staffing function, including (internal applicant) recruitment, selection, hiring, and placement of teachers and support staff for assigned schools and departments;
• Assists in the development of the Strategic Recruiting Plan;
• Monitors staffing plan, including transfer requests, personnel requests, applicant tracking, interviewing schedules, offers of employment, and notification process;
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Thorough knowledge of human resources administration, including knowledge of accepted methods and practices of recruitment and selection, classification, compensation, training, testing and research techniques; thorough knowledge of principles of school division organization and administration; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with job applicants, departmental supervisors, teachers, other employees, and the general public; ability to perform a variety of complicated tasks; ability to express ideas clearly both orally and in writing.
This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects; work requires fingering and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work; the worker is not subject of adverse environmental conditions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor Degree in personnel or educational administration or related field, and extensive professional experience in public personnel management.
A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
