About the Role

We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in a fully remote role open to candidates across Canada, with a preference for those based in or able to work within the Eastern time zone.

You'll take a proactive approach to sourcing and engaging top talent, building strong pipelines for your assigned client groups while delivering an exceptional experience for candidates and hiring managers alike. Throughout every interaction, you'll be a champion of our culture and a trusted partner to the business.

What to Expect in your first 3 Months

In the first 30 days you will:

  • Connect with members of the HR team through one-on-one introductory meetings.
  • Meet with hiring managers in your assigned client group to understand their team dynamics and hiring needs.
  • Build a solid foundation in our corporate HR strategy and objectives.
  • Complete training in UKG Pro Recruitment & Onboarding and familiarize yourself with our internal TA systems, workflows, and processes.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to get up to speed on our employer branding and marketing strategies.
  • Complete the 30-day milestones of the New Employee Onboarding (NEO) program.

In the first 60 days you will:

  • Review the GroupHEALTH FoC Annual Recruitment Strategy & Budget.
  • Deepen your understanding of our Employee Value Proposition across business units through continued conversations with HR and TA colleagues.
  • Begin managing active requisitions within your assigned client group.
  • Contribute to our social media recruitment strategy.
  • Complete the 60-day milestones of the NEO program.

In the first 90 days you will:Β 

  • Serve as the go-to TA partner for your client group, actively managing all open roles end-to-end.
  • Take ownership of social media content for recruitment, including new hire features, employee spotlights, and key milestones.

What You'll Do

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for your assigned client groups, from sourcing and screening through to interviewing and offer negotiation.
  • Partner with hiring managers to align on requisitions, scorecards, and timelines, providing consultative support to ensure strong role and organizational fit.
  • Post vacancies and manage applications through our ATS (UKG Pro), and handle all incoming TA requests via Jira.
  • Prioritize critical roles and balance competing demands across multiple open requisitions without compromising the candidate or hiring manager experience.
  • Proactively build and maintain talent pipelines through job boards, social media, and direct outreach.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to anticipate long-term hiring needs and strengthen our employer brand.
  • Track and analyze key recruitment metrics, including turnover and time-to-fill, to continuously refine your approach and improve outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate files and TA reporting, and produce weekly recruitment updates for your business units.
  • Support new hire onboarding in collaboration with the broader HR team.
  • Represent GroupHEALTH at job fairs and networking events.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual recruitment strategy and budget.
  • Lead and support Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of full-cycle talent acquisition experience, either in-house or in an agency setting.
  • A diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field is an asset.
  • Experience with sales or cold-calling is a plus.
  • Proficiency with an ATS (UKG Pro preferred) and the MS Office Suite.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to act as a strategic advisor to your client groups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • A genuine passion for delivering a high-quality experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
  • The ability to build trust quickly and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • A sharp eye for assessing candidates for both role fit and cultural alignment.

This involves efficient processes that balance speed with quality, meeting the organization's quality of hire metrics through strong collaboration with hiring managers and ensuring a positive candidate experience.

Compensation

At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary for this position is $60,000-70,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards, benefits, and potential bonuses that we proudly offer.
