Position Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a critical role in attracting and hiring top talent to support Saving Sight's mission. This position is responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. The specialist will build strong talent pipelines, foster relationships with hiring managers, and ensure a seamless candidate experience while upholding our organization's values and culture.
This role requires a strategic approach to recruitment, an ability to engage with diverse candidate pools, and a passion for creating an exceptional onboarding experience for new hires.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, bg checks, and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, create job descriptions, and develop sourcing strategies.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout all stages of recruitment.
Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development:
- Identify and engage with active and passive candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and professional organizations.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines to proactively address future hiring needs.
- Foster relationships with universities, professional groups, and community organizations to enhance employer branding and outreach efforts.
Collaboration & Employer Branding:
- Represent Saving Sight at recruitment events, career fairs, and networking engagements.
- Manage int the interview process by promoting internal job opportunities and facilitating employee referrals.
- Deliver engaging presentations at colleges and industry events to promote Saving Sight as an employer of choice and attract top talent.
Recruitment Strategy & Compliance:
- Implement best practices for equitable hiring processes that support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring.
- Regularly evaluate and refine recruitment strategies based on industry trends and hiring analytics.
- Manage and optimize applicant tracking system (ATS) and recruitment technology tools.
New Hire Experience & Onboarding:
- Partner with HR to ensure a smooth and engaging onboarding process.
- Provide new hires with necessary resources and support during the transition period.
- Conduct check-ins with recent hires and hiring managers to assess the effectiveness of the onboarding process.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Track key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire, to assess hiring effectiveness.
- Provide insights and reports to HR leadership to enhance recruitment strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruiting.
- Strong understanding of staffing principles, employment laws, and best practices.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR technology tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and ability to quickly learn new systems.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) are a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in high-volume recruitment within the healthcare industry.
- Experience with ADP HRIS or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in diversity recruitment and inclusive hiring practices.
Additional Requirements:
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Reliable transportation for attending recruitment events and off-site meetings.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs for event setup.
- Must be able to work occasional evenings or weekends for recruitment events.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Standard office environment with occasional travel for recruiting events.
- Frequent use of computers and prolonged periods of sitting.
- Some outdoor exposure may be required during offsite events.
