DescriptionThe Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining talent pipelines, sourcing and screening candidates, and collaborating with hiring managers to ensure recruitment aligns with business goals. This role involves executing employer branding strategies, creating engaging content to showcase ArcelorMittal Texas HBI’s culture, and managing social media presence to attract top talent. Additionally, the Specialist will represent the company at career events, coordinate onboarding, manage pre-employment screenings, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and utilize recruitment tools to streamline processes. The role requires a strategic approach to recruitment and branding, encouraging a positive candidate experience and supporting the company.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for entry-level and experienced roles, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality candidates.
- Proactively conducts candidate outreach through phone, email, and social media, with an expected volume of approximately 50 candidate contacts weekly.
- Research market trends, competitors, and talent pools to identify top talent and adjust recruitment strategies.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates, coordinating with hiring managers throughout the selection process.
- Maintain relationships with experienced candidates, connecting them with opportunities at ArcelorMittal Texas HBI.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to manage offers, onboarding, and ensure recruitment aligns with business objectives.
- Manage pre-employment screening processes, including background checks, drug testing, and reference checks, to ensure candidates meet company standards and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate the onboarding process, ensuring smooth transitions for new hires and a positive employee experience.
- Develop and execute strategies to position ArcelorMittal Texas HBI as a top employer.
- Create and share authentic content that highlights company culture, values, success stories, and benefits.
- Manage and grow social media presence (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) to promote open roles, career growth, and team culture.
- Represent ArcelorMittal Texas HBI at career fairs, networking events, and industry meetups to attract talent.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental policies, and relevant regulations.
- Assist with job description creation, benefits enrollment, new hire paperwork, and related documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition and onboarding.
- Use tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, ZipRecruiter to streamline sourcing and recruitment efforts
- Collaborate with the HR Specialist and other team members to support HR initiatives and projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in utilizing recruiting strategies and techniques as well as using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
- MS Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Must be capable of reviewing and interpreting complex documentation.
