POSITION SUMMARY  

Serves as recruiting coordinator to effectively recruit and employ for all offices within our organization.  This includes coordinating the steps within the hiring process from beginning to end, ensuring good candidate experience throughout the hiring and onboarding process.  Assists and serves as backup to other HR functions as necessary.   

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

 

Ensure all policies, processes and objectives are effectively met within the entire recruiting process at all times. 

Update the job advertisements and postings on job websites, social media, college websites, and other avenues.   

Track candidates through the recruiting process and update necessary reports. 

Work continuously with leaders developing employee motivation and recognition and other employee-related aspects to ensure positive culture. 

Coordinate the interview process and ensure consistency is followed by all hiring parties.   

Administer the online applicant tracking system to keep all candidates up to date pertaining to where they are in the hiring process. 

Ensure all communication with candidates is timely including those that are disqualified from the hiring process. 

Ensure proper facilitation of pre-hire documentation with candidates to include background check forms, behavioral assessment, application, and all other necessary data is completed.  

Ensure all documentation is saved to employee files.  

Complete Job Approval Requests for Talent Acquisition Supervisor upon reaching a hiring decision and ensure all proper signatures are obtained and document is scanned into employee file. 

Type job offers to candidates ensuring accuracy. 

Attends career fairs at targeted universities to find candidates, develop relationships, promote brand, and build candidate pipeline. 

Attends networking and non-traditional recruiting events at colleges/universities. 

Conduct and schedule interviews with hiring managers. 

Knowledge expert on Predictive Index and coordinate necessary candidate completion of the assessment.   

Ensure office(s) compliance with all applicable Federal and State laws affecting Human Resources.   

Assist and support Vice President of Human Resources with other projects as needed. 

Performs other duties as may become necessary or assigned.

  • Administration of hiring process. 

  • Maintain a positive behavior standard by acting and communicating in a manner that is professional and helps you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management. 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES  

None. 

 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1 + year experience preferably within the transportation/trucking industry 

  • Good working knowledge of computer/PC software (Microsoft Office)  

  • EXCEL – ability to create spreadsheets 

  • Power Point – ability to present and sell ELSI to hiring candidates. 

  • Excellent communication skills-verbal and written 

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test 

  • Excellent work history with proven track record 

  • Professional, clean, neat appearance 

  • No convictions of serious crimes 

  • Travel as needed
