Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:00a-5:00p

General Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for partnering with assigned hiring managers to forecast staffing needs, develop candidate pipelines, source, market and attract talent to foster the mission of the organization. Formulates strategy to acquire talent to fill requisitions. Using Behavioral Interview techniques, the Talent Acquisition Specialist screens, interviews and selects candidates to proceed through the candidate selection process. Collaborate with hiring managers and selects the top candidates for further on-site visits at the facility level. Extends offers and oversees onboarding activities. Maintains excellent candidate and hiring manager relations. Analyzes productivity metrics against the Service Level Agreements to exceed Top Quartile goals as set by industry benchmarks.

Key Requirements (Must Haves)

  • Location: Must reside in the Tampa or surrounding area (No Orlando candidates considered).

  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting/sourcing experience.

  • Staffing Agency Background: 2+ years of Staffing Agency or RPO background is strongly preferred.

  • Data & Presentation Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is mandatory for data analysis, metric reporting, and executive presentation preparation.

  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated strong business acumen and an ability to translate complex recruiting data and market trends into clear, strategic narratives for leadership.

  • Status: Temp-to-Perm Hybrid role. Must be prepared to eventually work onsite in the Tampa office.

Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities

Strategic Workforce Planning

  • Forecast & Partner: Collaborate with hiring managers to project staffing needs by analyzing attrition trends, new business initiatives, and succession planning for upcoming retirements.
  • Talent Acquisition Strategy: Design and execute proactive recruitment strategies to maintain optimal vacancy rates, ensure "on-time" staffing for program expansions, and manage seamless leadership transitions.
  • Market Intelligence: Utilize external scanning tools and labor market data to provide consultative insights to hiring managers regarding competitive landscapes and candidate availability.

Full-Cycle Recruitment & Execution

  • Intake & Service Standards: Lead comprehensive intake sessions to define position requirements, develop targeted recruitment plans, and establish formal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Strategic Sourcing: Proactively source and engage high-caliber talent; master the "pre-closing" process during initial screenings to ensure alignment on expectations early in the funnel.
  • Candidate Evaluation: Conduct rigorous screenings using behavioral interviewing, credential verification, and competency assessments to ensure candidates are both a technical and mission-driven fit for AdventHealth.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Act as a subject matter expert on business lines and market positioning, effectively articulating the organization's value proposition to prospective hires.

Offer Management & Compliance

  • Total Rewards Negotiation: Calculate and propose competitive salary offers; manage the extension of complex offers, including sign-on bonuses, seasonal contracts, and relocation agreements.
  • Offer Retention: Proactively anticipate and navigate counter-offers to secure top-tier talent.
  • Policy Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of corporate benefit plans, incentive programs, and facility policies to act as a primary resource for candidate inquiries.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure meticulous and timely documentation of the recruitment lifecycle within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Leadership & Coordination

  • Operational Oversight: Lead TA Coordinators to ensure a high-touch candidate experience, streamlined interview scheduling, and efficient onboarding workflows that guarantee on-time start dates.

Knowledge and Skills

Required Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data visualization).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (creating high-impact, professional, and visually clear executive decks).

  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) tools.

  • Proficiency in utilizing social networking, job boards, and other internet vehicles for sourcing.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for executive reporting and candidate engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) setting.

  • Healthcare recruiting experience is a significant plus.

  • Certification in Talent Acquisition (HCI, NAHCR, RACR) or HR Certification (HCI or SHRM).
