Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Talent Acquisition Specialist is to ensure our company attracts, hires, and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline. This position will also be involved in marketing initiatives for the company to promote the Companyโs reputation as a โbest place to work.โ
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement an overall recruiting strategy
- Collaborate with department managers on regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs
- Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives
- Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards, social media networks, and utilize employee referrals
- Source, network, and recruit candidates by using databases, job boards social media, etc.
- Screen candidate resumes and job applications to qualify for open positions as well as maintain the ATS for active and passive prospects
- Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates
- Assess applicantsโ relative knowledge, skills, and soft skills, experience, and aptitudes
- Maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS) through Paycom database
- Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
- Proficient with, or the ability to quickly learn applicant tracking software
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Understand and adhere to company policies and applicable laws
