Talent Acquisition Specialist 

Full time/Non-Exempt 

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ 

Compensation Range: $26.50 - $31.00/hour; Bonus Eligible 

Reports to: Director of Human Resources Position 

Summary: The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and acquiring top talent for our organization. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and evaluating candidates to ensure we hire the best-fit individuals who will contribute to the organization’s success. Your expertise in talent acquisition strategies and your ability to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers is essential in driving our recruitment efforts. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, reference checks, and offer negotiations. 
  • Represent First Children Services as a brand ambassador in all candidate interactions, networking events, and recruitment efforts. 
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR leadership to understand staffing needs and participate in recruitment planning sessions to align on strategy. 
  • Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies across job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals to build a diverse candidate pipeline. 
  • Provide hiring managers with insights on market trends, candidate feedback, and sourcing approaches to inform selection decisions. 
  • Ensure a smooth and engaging candidate experience from initial contact through offer acceptance, onboarding handoff, and pre- onboarding activities with internal stakeholders and ensure compliance with onboarding requirements.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities with internal stakeholders and ensure compliance with onboarding requirements. 
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data, records, and metrics to support reporting and certification efforts. 
  • Collaborate with the HR team to identify and implement process improvements that enhance recruiting workflows and contribute to the growth of the TA function.

Team: This role will be part of the Human Resources team, reporting to the Director of Human Resources. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, preferably in a high-volume or multisite environment. 
  • Proven ability to support and influence hiring decisions through strong relationship building and consultative skills. 
  • Strong command of sourcing techniques and familiarity with ATS and recruitment marketing platforms. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. 
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. • Knowledge of employment regulations and compliance in the recruitment process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. HR or recruiting certifications are a plus. 
  • Familiarity with recruitment of roles in an APSSD (BCTs, BCBAs, special education teachers, OT/PT specialists, etc.).
