Job Description
Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for supporting the recruitment and talent acquisition needs of Alliance Healthcare Services by identifying, attracting, and engaging qualified candidates for clinical, operational, administrative, and other organizational positions.
This position manages recruitment activities throughout the hiring process, including sourcing, applicant screening, candidate communication, interview coordination, recruitment tracking, and talent pipeline development. The Talent Acquisition Specialist partners with hiring managers and Human Resources leadership to understand staffing needs, address vacancies, and support timely hiring in a competitive healthcare environment.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist also utilizes recruitment data, labor market information, and sourcing trends to improve recruitment outcomes and support workforce stability across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage recruitment activities for assigned positions from initial posting through candidate selection and offer.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, qualifications, and recruitment priorities.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for clinical, administrative, operational, difficult-to-fill, and high-priority positions.
- Source qualified candidates through job boards, professional networks, social media, community partnerships, educational institutions, and other recruitment resources.
- Review applications and resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings to assess qualifications, experience, and organizational fit.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers and ensure timely follow-up throughout the recruitment process.
- Maintain consistent communication with candidates to provide a professional and positive candidate experience.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated workforce needs.
- Monitor vacancies, applicant activity, time-to-fill, candidate pipelines, and other recruitment metrics.
- Assist with recruitment dashboards, reports, and workforce data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Research labor market trends, compensation information, and competitive recruitment practices to support recruitment efforts.
- Participate in job fairs, career events, community recruitment activities, and professional networking opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, workforce agencies, professional organizations, and community partners.
- Support employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives designed to increase organizational visibility and attract qualified candidates.
- Maintain accurate and timely applicant and recruitment information within the applicant tracking system and HRIS.
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with federal and state employment regulations, accreditation requirements, and Alliance Healthcare Services policies and procedures.
- Assist with recruitment initiatives related to organizational growth, new programs, service expansion, and workforce stabilization.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, candidate experience, and hiring efficiency.
- Maintain confidentiality of applicant and employee information.
- Participate in Human Resources and organizational initiatives as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, or related experience preferred.
- Experience recruiting within healthcare, behavioral health, community mental health, or a similar environment strongly preferred.
- Experience recruiting clinical and difficult-to-fill positions preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of recruitment practices, candidate sourcing techniques, and employment regulations.
- Strong interviewing, candidate screening, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to develop creative sourcing strategies and maintain effective candidate pipelines.
- Ability to utilize recruitment data and metrics to monitor hiring activity and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, job boards, and online sourcing tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with hiring managers, candidates, employees, and community partners.
- Ability to manage multiple vacancies and priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to timely and accurate documentation.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.

Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based environment with occasional travel to Alliance Healthcare Services program locations, recruitment events, job fairs, and community partnership meetings.
- May require occasional evening or weekend hours to participate in recruitment activities and events.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, virtually, and by telephone.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
