About the Role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist partners with operational leaders to strategically identify, attract, and retain top talent aligned with FHI’s purpose, vision, and values. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely cares about people, thrives on collaboration, and takes pride in delivering a strong candidate experience from first contact through onboarding.

Work Schedule and Location

  • Hybrid role based in Fuquay-Varina, NC
  • In office Monday–Wednesday; optional remote Thursday–Friday
  • Travel to warehouse facilities as needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and source a high volume of hourly warehouse talent in a time-sensitive environmentRespond to candidate and leader inquiries throughout the day while managing multiple priorities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, guiding them through the hiring process
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS and related recruiting tools
  • Complete routine recruiting tasks including offer letters and pre-employment background/drug screening packages
  • Provide candidates clear instructions for completing paperwork and next steps
  • Prepare candidates for orientation by communicating agenda, schedule, location, dress code, and required materials
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and FHI standards

Qualifications

Experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting coordination, or a related role
  • Working knowledge of ATS/HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting, sourcing, and employment branding
  • Comfortable using job boards and social platforms to generate candidate flow
  • Ability to manage a high volume of calls and candidate communication
  • Remote work experience preferred; experience supporting or leading teams remotely is a plus

Education

We believe skills and experience matter most. A degree is not required for success in this role.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong customer service mindset and positive attitude
  • Knowledge of hiring laws and compliant hiring practices
  • Behavioral interviewing and selection techniques
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and incomplete information
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Workday is preferred

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office-based using standard equipment (laptop, phone, copier, etc.)
  • Travel to distribution centers as needed; some environments may be loud, not climate controlled, or below 32°F and may require extended walking around heavy machinery
  • Ability to communicate clearly (reading, writing, speaking), use a computer, lift up to 20 pounds, and drive a motor vehicle periodically
