Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist

As we continue to expand across the Northeast, we’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Recruiter to help us build high-performing teams in Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Location: This role will be based out of either Hartford, CT or Bristol, RI, with occasional travel to nearby markets to support hiring events and local operations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies
• Source, screen, and interview candidates to ensure alignment with Apex’s values and operational excellence
• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, from job postings to offer letters
• Build and maintain a pipeline of skilled candidates through networking, job fairs, and referrals
• Deliver an outstanding candidate experience through timely and professional communication
• Collaborate with HR and local leadership to ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new hires

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• Proven experience in recruitment, ideally within the skilled trades or service industry
• Strong understanding of modern recruiting tools and techniques
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Experience with applicant tracking systems (iCIMS preferred)
