The Talent Acquisition Sourcer plays a key role in building a diverse and dynamic talent pool that gives us a competitive advantage and, ultimately, shapes the future of Uplift’s mission. The Talent Acquisition Sourcer plays a critical role in the day-to-day candidate sourcing activities, managing the various sourcing channels and the company’s talent pool, while regularly interacting with both active and passive candidates.

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Partner closely with the Recruiter and Hiring Manager to determine position requirements.
    • Develop and implement a sourcing strategy to fill current vacancies and develop talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
    • Proactively identify qualified candidate profiles using various sourcing techniques (e.g., Boolean search, social media, and job search boards).
    • Optimize your sourcing strategy and hiring process to track metrics related to conversion rates (source of hire, quality of hire, offer acceptance rate, sourcing channel effectiveness).
    • Leverage external networks, professional organizations, available tools or resources, and market demographics to identify and pipeline a broad range of diverse external talent.
    • Manage the applicant workflow through the Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) System and/or Applicant Tracking System (ATS) by assessing candidates' qualifications and tracking activity appropriately to maintain compliance.
    • Ability to persuade and influence business leaders and exhibit the confidence to make solid recommendations on strategies and hiring recommendations.
    • Attend local, regional, and national career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
    • Aid in planning and coordinating Uplift Education job fairs.
    • Develop Partnerships with Colleges/Universities and other professional entities to aid in recruiting efforts.
    • Create and deliver informative presentations at colleges/universities

    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


    Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s)
    • Education Requirements: 
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; may substitute equivalent work experience for degree preference.

    Experience Requirements:
    • 2 + years of related work experience as a Talent Sourcer or similar role in the HR department
    • Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques (e.g., recruiting on social platforms and crafting Boolean search strings)
    • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs), preferably Workday, and Candidate Relationship Management Systems (CRMs)
    • Special Skills/Certifications: Preferred Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR), Professional Recruiter Certification (PRC), or LinkedIn Certified Professional – Recruiter
     
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate verbally and via email with staff, candidates, teachers, and network leaders.
    • Bilingual Skills: Spanish preferred
    • Technology: Knowledgeable in Boolean search techniques, experience with Workday ATS or other ATS and CRM systems.

    Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
    Work at a desk and computer screen for extended periods of time.

    Work Environment:
    The environment requires close proximity to other employees, extended periods of time viewing a computer screen, and moderate noise levels.

    Starting Salary: $55,000
