JOB OVERVIEW

The Talent Acquisition Project Manager is responsible for supporting and driving strategic recruiting initiatives, process improvements and talent acquisition programs within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This individual contributor role operates as a key partner to the Talent Acquisition team, hiring managers, HR Business Partners and other key HR stakeholders, and leadership to ensure effective execution of talent acquisition priorities. The role combines project and program coordination responsibilities with operational recruiting support. The incumbent is accountable for developing project plans, tracking hiring milestones, monitoring pipeline health, analyzing recruiting metrics and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability within the talent acquisition function. In addition, this role provides hands-on recruiting support during peak hiring periods or coverage needs, including candidate screening, interview coordination and offer process support, ensuring continuity of hiring operations and a positive candidate experience. The Talent Acquisition Project Manager applies analytical thinking, process simplification and agile principles to enhance recruiting performance and enable data-informed decision-making across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

 

Essential Duties

Talent Acquisition Project and Program Management

  • Lead and support recruiting initiatives including workforce expansions, high-volume hiring and strategic talent programs.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, hiring trackers, timelines and implementation roadmaps.
  • Identify risks, remove obstacles and ensure milestones are met.
  • Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, Human Resources (HR) and leadership to drive alignment and execution.
  • Support implementation and optimization of recruiting systems, tools and dashboards.
  • Research industry best practices and recommend improvements to enhance recruiting effectiveness.
  • Apply agile principles to continuously improve recruiting workflows and delivery.

Process Optimization and Analytics

  • Optimize end-to-end talent acquisition processes, ensuring consistent, efficient and scalable hiring workflows across the organization.
  • Partner with HR Systems to manage and enhance applicant tracking systems (ATS) and related recruiting technologies to improve data accuracy, reporting and recruiter productivity.
  • Analyze recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, offer acceptance and source effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel and internal systems.
  • Translate data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.

Hands-On Recruiting Support

  • Conduct candidate screenings and initial interviews as needed.
  • Support full-cycle recruiting during peak hiring periods or coverage needs.
  • Assist with interview coordination, offer preparation and candidate communication.
  • Ensure a positive, efficient and consistent candidate experience.
  • Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state/province or other regulating authorities as applicable to this role to ensure that Sunrise standards are always met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed throughout this job description are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

  • Three to five years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition or recruiting operations.
  • Experience handling and coordinating multiple HR projects simultaneously.
  • Experience supporting recruiting systems, reporting, analytics or process mapping.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and reporting/dashboard tools.
  • Familiarity with ATS platforms and recruiting technologies.
  • Exposure to agile methodologies or continuous improvement practices preferred.
  • Ability to balance strategic project work with tactical execution.
