About the Role
Crunch Fitness is on a mission to grow and become Australia’s most people-powered fitness brand. As our Talent Acquisition & People Development Manager, you’ll find the right people, onboard them brilliantly, and develop them to perform at their best. Your work will directly impact guest tours, membership starts, retention, and referrals. You’ll work closely with the CEO and club managers to create a high-performing, engaged, and motivated team across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition – Find the Best Fast
- Build Crunch’s employer brand.
- Run audition-style hiring and partner with managers to hire top talent efficiently.
- Build fast-moving pipelines and manage offers, contracts, and onboarding.
Onboarding & Training – Hit the Ground Running
- Design and deliver the Crunch Service Bootcamp.
- Create practical onboarding playbooks.
- Implement coaching huddles to accelerate performance.
- Ensure new hires are performing confidently from day one.
Performance & Development – Grow People, Grow Performance
- Launch scorecards and incentive plans.
- Track key metrics: service, tours, conversions, retention, and more.
- Coach teams and help managers strengthen on-floor leadership.
- Build career pathways and run performance reviews.
Culture & Engagement – Energize the Floor
- Embed the Crunch vibe across all clubs.
- Deliver recognition and engagement initiatives.
- Boost teamwork, accountability, and pride.
HR Compliance – Light-Touch, No Hassle
- Maintain accurate employee records.
- Ensure all hires meet compliance and working rights requirements.
About You
- 5+ years in talent acquisition, onboarding, and performance enablement (retail, hospitality, or fitness).
- Skilled in designing onboarding programs that accelerate results.
- Comfortable using tech and AI tools to work smarter.
- High-energy, humble, and passionate about helping people feel good.
- Ready to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
