Job Summary:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Partner & HR Generalist to join our team at our headquarters in Indianapolis, IN.  This position will be responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support, with a primary focus on full-cycle recruiting and strategic talent acquisition.  The ideal candidate brings strong recruiting expertise, broad HR generalist capability, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where teamwork, flexibility and close partnership are key to success. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Recruiting:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions across departments.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment and sourcing strategies.
  • Pro-actively source candidates through various channels, such as job boards, social media, employee referrals, professional networks, and campus outreach. 
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and evaluate candidates' qualifications.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the interview process, including any assessments and reference checks.
  • Work with EVP or Director to make job offers and manage the negotiation timeline process with candidates.
  • Continuously focus on pipeline searching to build bench strength and future growth opportunities in all disciplines of the organization, especially those that are difficult to recruit.  
  • Manage and coordinate our robust intern program each year in conjunction with Director, Employee Experience.
  • Foster strong relationships with leaders to understand business and talent needs.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Support employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives.
  • Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, source effectiveness) and provide reporting insights.

Onboarding and Orientation:

  • Manage the entire pre-employment and new hire set up process which includes close coordination with IT and Hiring Manager
  • Coordinate self-onboarding process for new hires within the HRIS system
  • Conduct orientation sessions to familiarize new employees with company policies, culture, and HRIS tools.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization including 90-day touch base.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies, professional organizations, and other related vendors.
  • Develop and execute on a plan to establish strong presence on key college campuses and development of intern pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support workforce planning and Employee Experience (HR) initiatives. 
  • Communicate effectively with candidates and provide positive candidate experience.

HRIS Management:

  • Use technology to improve employee experience and efficiency within processes, stay updated on ATS trends, suggest system improvements.
  • Administer and maintain the ATS system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Customize and configure ATS module to meet the organization's specific needs.
  • Generate reports and analytics from the ATS to support Employee Experience (HR) and management decision-making.
  • Train Employee Experience (HR) staff and end-users on ATS functionalities and best practices.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, including job descriptions, candidate profiles, and offer letters.
  • Assist in creating and updating EE policies and procedures.

Other HR Generalist Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and managers.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters and conflict resolution.
  • Support performance management processes and coaching conversations.
  • Assist with policy interpretation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Support benefits administration and employee inquiries.
  • Assist with engagement initiatives and employee development programs.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records and personnel documentation.


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Requires four (4) plus years of experience managing full-cycle recruitment across multiple roles.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with managers on talent needs.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices, including recruitment, onboarding, and data management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • HR Certification (e.g PHR, SPHR) a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with leaders and candidates
