DSG is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager in any of the following locations: Fargo, ND; La Crosse, WI; Plymouth, MN; or Sioux Falls, SD. In this full-time, salaried position, work is typically performed during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, but will vary on occasion according to business needs. The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive, forward-thinking talent acquisition strategy that ensures DSG attracts, develops, and retains top talent. This role will focus on both immediate hiring needs and building sustainable talent pipelines for the future through strategic workforce planning, community and educational partnerships, and early career programs.

A Typical Day in the Life of a Talent Acquisition Manager at DSG:

  • Develop and execute a strategic talent acquisition strategy aligned with DSG’s growth goals, workforce planning, and budget.
  • Lead the development of DSG's Employer Value Proposition in partnership with Marketing and Communications to bring that story to life both internally and externally.
  • Lead Strategic Workforce Planning efforts in partnership with Supply Chain and Sales Operations to anticipate staffing needs and align talent strategy with business growth.
  • Build and maintain proactive internal and external talent pipelines for critical roles across the organization, including sales, operations, and leadership positions.
  • Establish and grow partnerships with colleges, universities, technical schools, and community organizations to create consistent early talent pipelines.
  • Lead DSG’s presence in DSG branch communities as an employer of choice, including career fairs, classroom engagement, industry events, and networking initiatives.
  • Develop and manage internship and early career programs that serve as feeders into full-time roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs and develop workforce forecasting strategies. This will be a part of workforce planning.
  • Design, plan, and execute effective and consistent selection processes, including interviews and candidate evaluation tools.
  • Train hiring managers to effectively use recruitment tools, evaluate candidates effectively, and make sound selection decisions.
  • Enhance and promote DSG’s employer brand to attract high-quality and diverse candidates across all markets.
  • Serve as a project manager for each key role with a clear timeline, defined process, and complete ownership of these requisitions.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key talent acquisition metrics, including pipeline health, time-to-fill, quality of hire, and source effectiveness.
  • Other jobs and duties as assigned.


A Successful Talent Acquisition Manager Typically Has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is preferred, with at least 8+ years of experience in Recruitment and Selection
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic talent acquisition and workforce planning
  • Experience building and maintaining talent pipelines and external partnerships (college, community, industry)
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment and hiring processes
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
  • Project management mindset with a bias toward clear timelines and accountability
  • Sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Ability to optimize HRIS and other HR-related recruitment technology
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
