About Us & Why We’re Hiring

K12 Insight is a leading edtech innovator helping public school districts modernize operations and deliver exceptional customer service. Our unified service platform integrates a robust customer service framework with automation, data integration, and generative AI to streamline operations and improve experiences. Trusted by districts nationwide, we help school systems reduce busywork, boost efficiency, and strengthen relationships with families, staff, and communities.

As Talent Acquisition Manager, you will lead the effort to find, engage, and hire the exceptional talent that drives K12 Insight forward. You’ll design and execute smart, creative strategies to attract top candidates, deliver an outstanding experience for both candidates and hiring managers, and help shape and strengthen our employer brand.

A key part of this role is building strong partnerships with hiring managers. You’ll work closely with them to translate team needs into successful hires by co-creating clear job profiles, developing structured interview guides, and designing thoughtful, efficient interview processes from start to finish.

In this role, you’ll be our go-to recruiting expert — building strong pipelines and filling roles across all teams. Reporting to the Director of People, you’ll own the entire recruiting function as our sole in-house recruiter.

Responsibilities

- Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract and hire top talent within the EdTech space, covering all departments including sales, marketing, client experience, administration and product.

- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for all levels—from interns to executive leadership—partnering closely with hiring managers to create job descriptions, source candidates, conduct interviews, check references, negotiate offers, and oversee onboarding.

- Build and maintain strong pipelines for current and future roles using social media, job boards, networking, and referrals.

- Screen and assess candidates for skills, experience, and culture fit using behavioral interview methods and cognitive assessment tools.

- Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing guidance on talent needs, job profiles, and candidate selection to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

- Enhance employer branding and recruitment marketing efforts by crafting compelling job advertisements and promoting K12 Insight as an employer of choice.

- Stay up to date on hiring trends and best practices to keep our recruitment approach fresh and effective.

- Use our ATS (Rippling) to track candidates, manage pipelines, maintain accurate data, and monitor, analyze, and report recruitment metrics to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.

- Support talent and performance management initiatives to attract, develop, and retain high-performing employees.

- Provide training for hiring managers on recruitment best practices and compliance requirements.

- Manage relationships with recruitment vendors, including job boards, assessment providers, staffing agencies, and executive search firms.

- Maintain our Glassdoor profile and respond promptly to all reviews to strengthen our online reputation.
