Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for the full cycle of recruitment and hiring process for all K-12 instructional and non-instructional staff. This role partners closely with school leaders and department managers to ensure positions are filled with qualified, mission-aligned educators and staff in a timely, compliant, and student centered manner. The Talent Acquisition Manager ensures a positive candidate experience from job posting though onboarding, contract issuance and renewal.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four plus years of recruiting or talent acquisition  experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business or related field

  • Two plus years of people management or leadership experience

  • Experience working with Talent Platforms, HRIS systems, Workday experience preferred.

  • Proven success filling roles across multiple functions and levels 

  • Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques and recruiting tools

  • Active AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Full-cycle recruiting & hiring 

    • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for K-12 positions, including teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators and support staff

    • Post job openings across internal and external platforms and maintain accurate, up-to-date postings

    • Screen applications, conduct interviews and coordinate interviews with school and department leaders

    • Facilitate job offers, contract issuance, and employment negotiations in accordance with policies 

    • Manage annual contract renewals and reappointment process

    • Coordinate and oversee onboarding paperwork, background checks, licensure verification, and compliance documentation

  • Partnership& stakeholder collaboration

    • Partner with school leaders and department managers to understand staffing needs and hiring timelines

    • Stand up new entities, partnerships from job descriptions through onboarding new employees

    • Advise managers on effective hiring practices, candidate selection, and compliance requirements

    • Support workforce planning and staffing forecasts aligned with enrollment and program needs

  • Job descriptions & process Improvement

    • Develop, update and maintain accurate job descriptions for all roles

    • Ensure job descriptions align with credentialing requirements, labor laws, and ASU Prep expectations

    • Continuously improve the recruiting process to increase efficiency, equity and candidate experience

  • Compliance & reporting

    • Ensure hiring practices comply with federal, state and local employment laws and education regulations

    • Maintain accurate recruiting and hiring records within Workday

    • Track and report recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, vacancy rates and hiring trends  

  • Contributes as a team member on special projects as assigned.

  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • Full-cycle recruiting process and talent acquisition strategies

  • Full knowledge of employment laws and regulations, interview techniques, candidate assessment and selection methods

  • Applicant tracking system and HIRS platform, Workday experience preferred 

  • Workforce planning , labor market trends, employer branding and marketing

  • Strategic sourcing and pipeline development

  • Data analysis and reporting

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build trust with a variety of stakeholders in and outside of ASU Preparatory Academy.

  • Ability to influence without direct authority

  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills related to analysis and determining solutions.

  • Ability to apply knowledge and experience to anticipate, forecast, and develop strategies to achieve objectives.

  • Ability to articulate, represent professional demeanor and ability to take initiative.

  • Able to provide excellent customer service.

Occasional travel may be required for site visits, meetings, trainings and/or conferences. Locations may vary and may require overnight stays.
