K12 Coalition came together when educators with deep experience as teachers, school leaders and high-level district administrators observed a genuine need for something better. Our divisions include iteach, Passage Preparation, Teaching Channel, Insight Education Group, and Lavinia Group.




Location: Preference for this role to be hybrid in the office two days per week in one of our office locations (Charlottesville, VA;  Denton TX; Eagan, MN).




The Opportunity


As the Talent Acquisition Manager, you’ll drive our company’s mission to build a team that advances educational transformation. In this role, you’ll lead our efforts to attract and hire talent across a variety of roles, with a strong emphasis on providing a positive candidate experience and promoting our employment brand. You’ll oversee every step of the recruitment process, from strategizing talent pipelines and sourcing diverse candidates to guiding hiring managers and ensuring compliance in talent practices.

The Talent Acquisition Manager will report directly to the CHRO and work alongside a dedicated team that includes an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, and HR Operations Associate.




What You’ll Do:


Talent Strategy



  • Develop and implement innovative, cost-effective recruitment strategies that align with the company’s short- and long-term hiring needs, supporting our organizational growth.

  • Execute sourcing strategies to enhance applicant flow, particularly for high-volume and cyclical hiring needs.

  • Prepare targeted, effective recruiting approaches for hard-to-fill positions based on market conditions and talent trends.

  • Serve as a consultative partner to hiring managers, advising on best practices for timing, process, and candidate experience, while providing constructive guidance to uphold a high-quality, consistent hiring process.

  • Identify and implement improvements to talent acquisition workflows, increasing efficiency and compliance across the recruitment lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with the HR team to enhance all aspects of the talent acquisition process—including job descriptions, requisition templates, posting standards, and compliance measures—to ensure every element is strategically aligned and supports both organizational goals and candidate engagement.


Candidate Engagement and Selection



  • Lead the full recruitment life cycle, including sourcing, interviews, and screening, ensuring a positive and consistent experience for all candidates.

  • Guide hiring managers with training, tools, and ongoing support, helping them make fair and effective hiring decisions.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for all involved in the interview process, providing guidance on question selection, interviewing techniques, documentation, and follow-up to ensure consistency, compliance, and quality throughout each candidate interaction.

  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure salary ranges on job postings are aligned with internal practices and market competitiveness.

  • Oversee the background screening and employment verification process to maintain a transparent and compliant hiring process.


Program Management



  • Manage and develop talent acquisition programs, such as internships and apprenticeships, to cultivate early-career talent and support future workforce needs.

  • Partner with the HR team to enhance onboarding programs, promoting a smooth transition and positive experience for new hires.


Data, Metrics, and Reporting



  • Use metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and pinpoint areas for improvement.

  • Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS), UKG Ready, maintaining accurate records, reporting on recruitment data, and identifying trends that support strategic hiring decisions.




Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; knowledge of the K-12 education field is a plus.

  • 5-7 years of experience in talent acquisition, with a focus on full-cycle recruitment and sourcing.

  • Demonstrates awareness of current trends and best practices in talent attraction and candidate experience, including inclusive language and evolving candidate expectations.

  • Strong knowledge of recruitment tool creation, including interview guides and scorecards.

  • Skilled in using social media and job boards to attract a diverse talent pool.

  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), especially UKG Ready.

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace.

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Compensation Range


The compensation range for this position is $75,000-$95,000.




As part of our commitment to pay equity, new hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the salary band minimum and the salary band midpoint depending on qualifications, location, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
