About the Role
The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for leading and executing strategic talent acquisition efforts across a growing portfolio of surgical hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) within a private equity-backed healthcare environment. This role is critical in scaling clinical and non-clinical talent pipelines in support of rapid growth, integration of newly acquired entities, and operational excellence.
Working closely with executive leadership, operations, and integration teams, the Talent Acquisition Manager ensures the organization attracts high-caliber candidates aligned with our mission, values, and performance standards. The ideal candidate is agile, data-driven, and experienced in recruiting within high-growth, multi-site healthcare systems undergoing mergers and acquisitions.
POSITION’S ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and lead full-cycle recruitment strategies for clinical, administrative, and corporate roles across surgical hospitals and ASCs.
- Partner with leadership and operational stakeholders to forecast workforce needs in both stable and post-acquisition environments.
- Build recruitment infrastructure that supports rapid onboarding and integration of employees from acquired entities.
- Ensure seamless coordination between corporate HR, local hiring teams, and integration leads during M&A activity.
- Establish strong relationships with hiring managers, providing consultative guidance on role definition, candidate profiles, and market competitiveness.
- Leverage ATS and HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday, or comparable) to manage requisition workflows, reporting, and compliance.
- Lead or support a recruiting team, providing mentorship, setting performance expectations, and driving accountability.
- Enhance employer branding strategies to attract top talent in a competitive healthcare market.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and healthcare industry employment laws and standards.
- Oversee third-party agency relationships and optimize recruiting spend.
- Set clear goals and expectations; provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
- Develop talent through mentoring, training, and career development initiatives.
- Promote a collaborative and engaging work environment that aligns with company values.
- Manage conflict and make timely decisions to maintain team focus and performance.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and development conversations.
- Approve timecards, schedules, time-off requests, and other administrative HR functions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 2 years in a leadership or high-impact role within healthcare services.
- Proven success in a private equity, high-growth, or M&A-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of clinical staffing, healthcare labor market dynamics, and licensure/certification requirements.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations, ideally across multiple states and service lines.
- Familiarity with physician recruiting, regulatory onboarding (e.g., credentialing, privileging), and clinical compliance is preferred.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with ATS platforms and recruiting analytics; experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar systems preferred.
