We are seeking a dynamic and driven Talent Acquisition Lead to join our growing team at our HQ in New York. This critical role blends strategic recruiting with innovative people programs to attract, engage, and retain exceptional talent. You’ll partner closely with leadership to build and execute talent strategies that elevate our culture, scale our teams globally, and drive FURTHER’s success in a competitive, fast-paced environment. We just signed a new lease at Pencilworks in Brooklyn, NY and you’ll be instrumental in building our in office culture there.
As the Talent Lead at FURTHER, you’ll be a strategic partner in driving our talent strategy while building an exceptional employee experience. This hybrid role blends recruiting expertise with people operations, allowing you to attract, hire, and retain top talent globally while implementing programs that support our people and culture. You’ll work closely with leadership to design and execute strategies for talent acquisition, employee engagement, and development, ensuring FURTHER is a place where individuals and teams can thrive.
Talent Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to support FURTHER’s growth, including succession planning and workforce forecasting.
Hiring Excellence: Oversee the full recruiting lifecycle, from sourcing and interviewing to offer and onboarding, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
Talent Branding: Strengthen FURTHER’s employer brand through storytelling, outreach, and innovative recruitment marketing strategies.
Manager Enablement: Equip leaders with the tools, insights, and coaching they need to build and support high-performing teams.
Onboarding and Engagement: Spearhead onboarding programs, design engaging welcome sessions, and drive employee engagement initiatives to cultivate a sense of belonging and support for new hires and existing team members. Evolve these programs to version 2.0 based on feedback and industry best practices.
Quality of Hire Analysis: Implement 30-60-90 day check-ins to assess new hire performance and satisfaction. Analyze data from these touchpoints to refine talent strategies and improve overall hiring quality.
Employee Referral Program: Celebrate and incentivize team members who contribute to the employee referral program, fostering a collaborative recruitment culture while highlighting the benefits of working for the company.
People Business partner: Champion employee incentives, motivational programs, and culture-building initiatives to enhance workplace satisfaction. Design and administer pulse surveys, ensure recognition of milestones such as anniversaries and birthdays, and develop strategies to strengthen trust, community, and connection among remote and in-office teams through off-sites, mini summits, and in-person events.
Performance and Development: Partner with managers to lead performance reviews, create development plans, and align goals with company priorities. (Lattice)
People Programs: Design and implement initiatives to drive employee engagement, build community, and create meaningful rewards and recognition.
Global People Operations: Manage foundational HR tasks like global contracts, compliance, and benefits to support a growing, geographically diverse team.
7-10+ years in recruiting or talent acquisition, with experience building pipelines, sourcing candidates, and refining hiring processes.
A passion for building and scaling innovative people & talent programs that attract and retain top talent.
A proven ability to partner with managers and leaders to identify talent needs, coach for success, and drive high-performance teams.
An eye for talent branding, with a focus on amplifying FURTHER’s reputation as an industry leader and employer of choice.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
A collaborative mindset and a deep commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Ability to drive and facilitate effective change management initiatives, fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience. Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies to secure buy-in, collaboration, and support for key organizational objectives.
Experience designing and executing global talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent from diverse cultural backgrounds. Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment that nurtures cross-functional teams, enabling the organization to succeed in international markets.
Knowledge of people operations, including global employee contracts, onboarding, and benefits design.
Experience in scaling teams at a high-growth company or startup environment.
Background in international HR operations or working across multiple regions.
Expertise in implementing innovative recruiting technologies or tools.
A passion for industry trends and building inclusive hiring practices that elevate FURTHER’s culture.
Our openings span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is $130,000 -$150,000 USD base plus a performance bonus. The provided salary depends on many factors, such as location, work experience and transferable skills, business needs and impact, and market demands.
