The Talent Acquisition Lead at Atlanta Mission is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end recruiting process, ensuring that the organization attracts and hires top talent who align with our mission to transform lives. This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach to talent acquisition, partnering with hiring managers, developing effective sourcing strategies, and fostering a positive candidate experience. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of recruiting best practices, a passion for people, and a commitment to the Atlanta Mission’s vision and values.

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Talent Acquisition Strategy: Develop and implement a talent acquisition strategy aligned with organizational goals and workforce needs, focusing on proactive talent pipelines for key positions.

Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage the full recruitment process, from identifying job requirements and sourcing candidates to screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

Sourcing and Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a network of qualified candidates through various sourcing methods, including online job boards, social media, networking, partnerships with community organizations, and recruiting events.

Employer Branding: Work with the marketing team to enhance employer brand initiatives and create compelling content that showcases Atlanta Mission as an employer of choice.

Candidate Experience: Foster a positive candidate experience by ensuring timely communication, a welcoming interview process, and alignment with Atlanta Mission’s values and culture.

Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Partner with department heads and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and provide guidance throughout the hiring process.   Ensure that all new Managers are trained properly on Atlanta Mission interviewing and selection criteria.

Diversity & Inclusion: Develop and execute strategies to attract a diverse talent pool, ensuring inclusivity in the recruitment process.

Data Analytics & Reporting: Track recruiting metrics to measure effectiveness and report on recruiting activities, such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire, providing insights to improve the process.

Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure recruitment processes comply with federal and state regulations and implement recruiting best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Position Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruiting, preferably within a non-profit or mission-driven organization
  • Proven track record of managing full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition programs
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse groups of people
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a detail-oriented approach
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.)
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Atlanta Mission

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing, walking and sitting)
  • Must be able to communicate accurate information
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 10lbs

 

Environmental Job Requirements:

  • Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions during events
  • Moderate noise as in a business office environment
  • Lower exposure to communicable diseases as described by OSHA
