Contributing to the organization’s talent acquisition goals and objectives, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator provides efficient, timely and accurate administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team. This role supports day-to-day talent acquisition activities and related departmental initiatives while helping ensure a positive experience for candidates, employees, and leaders.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team, including coordination of the student internship and summer student programs, posting job requisitions, creating interview templates, and other recruitment tasks as required.

  • Monitor, manage, and respond to talent acquisition-related incidents and email inquiries, escalating matters as appropriate and ensuring timely resolution.

  • Coordinate and maintain accurate talent acquisition records, reports, and documentation to support tracking, compliance requirements, workforce planning, and informed decision-making.

  • Be a champion for the Human Resources Information System, creating a positive experience for candidates, employees and leaders by continually looking for ways to improve processes.

  • Act as a brand ambassador to deepen relationships with community members and external partners including universities/colleges by attending recruitment events and career fairs.

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to credit union policies and procedures specific to the Talent Acquisition and People & Culture (P&C) department.

Essential Qualifications and Critical Competencies

  • The following would be an asset:

    • Post- secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration, or equivalent 

    • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation, or actively working toward designation

    • Experience working in a P&C department with a focus on recruitment and/or onboarding

    • Knowledge of Human Rights Legislation and Employment Law  

  • Critical Competencies:

    • Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner  

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written  

  • Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy  

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure  

  • Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions  

  • Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures  

  • Knowledge of risk management within the financial industry  

  • Proficient computer skills
