Talent Acquisition

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for creating a pipeline of talent for various positionswithin the organization. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will identify and keep in regular contact with passive and active candidates for current and future vacancies in Canada, United States and the EU. In conjunction with the Manager, HR assess candidatesโ€™ suitability for specific positions within the organization. Develop and maintain a database of active and passive candidates keeping clear and concise notes of interactions. Act as an Ambassador of Alimentiv and share the organizationโ€™s employee value proposition. Enhance our relationship with community employment organizations and institutions. Develop an expert level understanding of specified positions andthe industry and share market intelligence (i.e. compensation, LMI, events etc.).

Sourcing/Research/Outreach

    • Identify passive and active candidates globally for assigned positions through various sources including: Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn, Indeed, networking, and employee referrals
    • Mine archived/closed job postings for potential candidates
    • Continuously research other potential sources of candidates
    • Liaise with community employment groups to identify potential candidates
    • Keep up to date with employment trends in the industry and regions
    • Attend community events and engage with candidates as assigned

Candidate Assessment

    • Conduct preliminary formal/informal phone interviews with candidates to assess their education, experience, skills, competencies, values, interests, availability, and suitability for assigned positions
    • Act as an ambassador of Alimenitv and deliver a thorough/clear message regarding our organization
    • Provide realistic job previews to candidates for role being discussed
    • Maintain clear and concise records of interactions with candidates in the ATS

Other Projects

    • Participate in other talent acquisition or HR tasks/initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree in related field (Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication, Psychology, etc.), introductory related experience desireable (i.e. co-ops, internships)
    • OR
    • College Diploma/degree with ~1-3 years' related experience and ongoing training
    • OTHER:
    • Experience in HR, retail/customer services or sales preferred. Strong communication skills, ability to spend multiple hours a day on the phone
    • Must be polished and be a good representation of the organization
    • Strong active listening skills, and diplomacy and tact to work collaboratively with internal teams and sensitive personal information
    • Time management and organization skills
    • Willingness to learn and an interest in Life Sciences and clinical research
