POSITION OVERVIEW
The Talent Acquisition Associate is responsible for full-cycle recruitment for B&H’s site-level positions across our multifamily portfolio. This role supports hiring managers through sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating the onboarding process for new employees. In addition, this role contributes to recruitment marketing initiatives by helping promote the B&H employer brand, creating engaging job content, and enhancing visibility of open roles. A successful individual in this role will help ensure a strong pipeline of qualified candidates, reduced time-to-fill for vacancies, and a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.
This position requires strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to manage high-volume recruitment while maintaining a high-quality hiring process. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified, diverse talent.
- Post job openings, review resumes, screen applicants, conduct phone screens, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and Human Resources Business Partners.
- Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) to track candidates, pipeline activity, and hiring progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide hiring managers with regular updates on candidate status, pipeline activity, and recruitment progress.
- Partner with the HR Generalist to coordinate all pre-employment requirements, including background checks and drug screens.
- Support candidates and hiring managers through the hiring and onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience aligned with B&H’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
- Collaborate with the HR Generalist to prepare accurate, timely offer letters for site-level positions.
- Attend and support career fairs, community events, and networking opportunities to represent B&H as an employer of choice.
Recruitment Marketing & Employer Branding
- Create clear, compelling, and inclusive job postings that reflect B&H’s culture and attract diverse talent.
- Assist with maintaining consistent job posting templates and branding across all recruitment platforms.
- Partner with the Marketing and HR teams to promote open roles on social media channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook) and other digital platforms.
- Identify opportunities to elevate B&H’s employer brand through content creation, partnerships, and presence at local events or community initiatives.
- Help monitor applicant engagement and job posting performance across job boards, recommending adjustments to optimize reach.
- Contribute ideas for recruitment campaigns, job fair materials, and promotional content.
- Ensure all recruitment marketing aligns with B&H’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, and overall brand voice.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or 3 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience (multifamily, hospitality, or high-volume recruitment preferred).
- Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); experience with UKG Ready is preferred.
- Basic understanding of recruitment marketing principles or experience supporting employer branding initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills including HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when working with candidates, employees, and sensitive information.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- SHRM Recruiting certification preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business needs and work efficiently under pressure.
- A desire for continuous learning and professional development.
