Sr. Talent Acquisition Advisor

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate to provide specialized sourcing expertise for hard to fill roles within a designated portfolio. The role acts as a market specialist for positions within their designated portfolio, delivering on a talent pipeline development strategy in partnership with divisional leadership, Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners. As the senior team member, the Talent Sourcing Advisor will lead & support our Sault Ste. Marie hiring across the organization.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Director Talent Acquisition, you will be empowered to:

  • Lead, facilitate and complete all recruitment and selection activities, including job postings/advertisements, sourcing candidates, prescreening, interviewing, background checking, negotiating job offers, and facilitating onboarding.

  • Actively participate in social networking sites and attend career fairs and recruiting events to promote OLG’s employer brand and source talent.

  • Participate in various projects/programs related to Talent Acquisition, and additional responsibilities as required.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of talent acquisition systems to ensure compliance with audit, data security and privacy regulations.

  • Partner in the implementation of a pipeline development strategy to proactively source talent for specialized, niche or hard to fill positions at all levels of the organization to support the staffing of talent in Sault Ste. Marie in a timely manner.

  • Lead innovative sourcing strategies, approaches and advertisements aimed at appealing to designated talent market.

  • Lead recruitment and selection activities for sourced roles, including, prescreening interviews, development of interview guides and negotiate job offers in a manner that enhances the candidate experience

  • Act as the source for specialized knowledge of job market conditions and availability of talent and salaries for roles within the specified divisions to guide in the planning, strategy and distribution of recruitment for those areas.

  • Leverage the applicant tracking system (ATS) and talent acquisition tools to maintain recruitment information, handle talent pipeline activity, assess trends and provide insight to management based on reporting and metrics (KPIs).

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma. Certifications or specialized training in sourcing (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter)

  • Three to five years specialized sourcing experience. Five years plus in recruiting field 

Relevant Skills:

  • Sourcing through social media including LinkedIn and other platforms.

  • Partner with leaders, TA & Brand team and HR Business Partners in the delivery of sourcing activities
