DescriptionOverview:
Recruiters will work with all aspects of the talent acquisition team to perform a wide variety of tasks across multiple areas. This role is ideal for an individual with an interest in learning about recruitment, hiring and onboarding. The intern will gain hands on experience on process and operations. The position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in Human Resources and who thrive in a dynamic and collaborating environment.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
Recruiting: Full Cycle
- Utilize various recruitment tools and methods to source and attract a pool of qualified and diverse candidate screening potential hourly employees' resumes/applications to identify suitable candidates to fill vacancies.
- Assisting in posting job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms
- Requires an overall understanding of interconnectivities between systems/ ATS
- Enhance efforts in recruitment to foster a well-rounded and inclusive workforce.
Pre-onboarding
- Assist with pre-onboarding candidates
- Support candidates through the onboarding process via-phone, email, teams and text
Project
- Process Improvement. Gather and develop room for improvement.
- Recommend changes to adapt with industry data and benchmarks.
Key Result Areas
- Develop metrics and data analysis summaries of improvement for Talent Acquisition
- Support talent acquisition team
QualificationsQualifications:
- Able to work independently and with a group
- Ability to analyze data, make decisions and articulate / present information
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, orally and in writing
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization providing analysis
- Strong work ethic and sense of ownership
Requirements:
- Studying toward a degree in human resource management or related field.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.
The hourly wage for this position is $20.00.
Candidates are eligible for the following benefit:
• one (1) hour of paid sick time for every thirty (30) hrs worked, and up to a maximum of forty-eight (48) hrs each calendar yr.
