Position Summary
Highr1 is actively seeking a mission-driven, detail-oriented
Talent Acquisition Specialist Fellow through the DoD SkillBridge Program. This remote position is ideal for transitioning service members who are passionate about recruiting, especially those with prior military recruiting experience. Reporting directly to our Director of Recruiting Services, this fellowship offers hands-on experience sourcing high-impact talent and developing strategies to build dynamic talent pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Source qualified candidates using a variety of platforms and tools including LinkedIn, job boards, and military transition networks.
- Write compelling, and accurate job descriptions aligned with client and organizational needs.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline of transitioning service members and civilian professionals.
- Leverage social media and digital platforms to promote roles and enhance brand awareness.
- Screen resumes, conduct candidate interviews, and evaluate fit based on client requirements.
- Support interview coordination, tracking, and reporting of recruiting metrics.
- Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve sourcing, selection, and onboarding strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently serving U.S. military member approved for participation in the DoD SkillBridge Program
- Military recruiting experience required (Navy background preferred; all branches welcome)
- Prior experience recruiting Navy Nuclear personnel is a significant plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write clear, concise, and effective job descriptions
- Proficient in social media recruitment (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.)
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment CRMs
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with a team-oriented mindset
- Based in or willing to work within EST, CST, or MST time zones
