FLSA: Salary Non-Exempt

Reports to: Talent & Recruitment Supervisor

Work Location: The Woodlands, TX

Travel Required: 20%

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Overtime as needed)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Talent Acquisition Specialist will have a passion for the full life-cycle recruiting process! They will utilize their oilfield recruiting expertise to support the Talent Department and assist with sourcing, attracting, coordinating, and conducting interviews to find the ideal match for our company’s long-term goals. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment are all vital skills needed to succeed in this role.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that being with the word “May.”)

  • Execute full life cycle recruiting for the organization. 
  • Create and manage requisitions, assess job specifications, identify screening questions, and determine candidate interview approaches.
  • Screen applicants, assess their skill level/fit for roles, and route them appropriately.
  • Conduct candidate sourcing, interview coordination, extend job offers, and coordinate drug tests and background screenings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools to develop a pipeline of employees and provide educational support for internal programs.
  • Actively participate in career fairs, sourcing events, and projects.
  • Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to develop a recruiting strategy for assigned projects.
  • Serve as a liaison between hiring managers and candidates to understand hiring goals, priorities, and needs.
  • Attend and participate in recruitment events, job fairs, and conferences as needed.
  • Maintain and process employee data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to track candidates and job stages.
  • Conduct operational and administrative portions of the hire process, including background checks, setting up drug screens, health screens, and I9 & E-Verify compliance.

 

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Successfully passes background check.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Daily in-office, predictable attendance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required, experience may be used in lieu of degree.
  • A minimum of seven years of human resource management and/or progressive talent acquisition experience required.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification required.
  • Paycom experienced highly desirable.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

The Sr. Talent Specialist works indoors in an office setting, primarily sitting for extended periods of time at a desk station, keyboarding and using repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and or fingers. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while reading and staring at computer monitor. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. No adverse environmental conditions are expected. While in the office, the Sr. Talent Specialist may be called upon to stand, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead, stoop, crouch, climb, and lift; therefore, they should be able to lift 25 lbs. independently.

Work hours may include or includes early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
