About Hiatus

Hiatus Day Spa + Med Spa is a modern wellness brand built around the belief that regular self-care should be part of everyone’s life. With locations across Texas, more than 13,000 members and continued growth ahead, we are committed to delivering exceptional experiences through talented people who embody the Hiatus Way.

We are looking for a driven, creative and highly connected Regional Talent Acquisition Specialist – Houston to help us identify and hire exceptional talent throughout the Houston market and other assigned regions.

The Opportunity

This is not a “post and wait” recruiting position. The Regional Talent Acquisition Specialist will actively build relationships, develop talent pipelines and create new ways to connect Hiatus with top professionals in the spa, wellness and medical-aesthetics industries.

The ideal candidate has strong experience recruiting within the med-spa, spa, healthcare, beauty or wellness space and understands how to engage highly sought-after clinical and service-based talent. This person is a natural networker, an energetic brand ambassador and a strategic partner to operational leaders.

You will lead full-cycle recruiting for aesthetic injectors, massage therapists, estheticians, nail therapists and other assigned positions while developing sustainable pipelines through direct sourcing, professional associations, hiring events, school partnerships, industry relationships, referrals and creative grassroots recruiting efforts.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Sourcing and Talent Acquisition

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for aesthetic injectors, massage therapists, estheticians, nail therapists and other assigned spa and med-spa positions.

  • Proactively source passive candidates through LinkedIn, social media, professional networks, industry events, referrals and direct outreach.

  • Build and maintain strong pipelines of experienced aesthetic injectors, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, massage therapists, estheticians and nail therapists.

  • Be the expert on  the Houston talent market and identify where top spa and medical-aesthetics professionals work, learn, network and build their professional communities.

  • Develop thoughtful, personalized outreach that introduces candidates to the Hiatus brand and creates interest in current and future opportunities.

  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process, creating a polished and welcoming experience from first contact through onboarding.

  • Conduct video interviews to evaluate experience, availability, compensation alignment, professionalism and connection to the Hiatus Way.

  • Partner with hiring leaders to coordinate practicals, interviews and timely hiring decisions.

  • Maintain accurate candidate activity, feedback and hiring records within the applicant tracking system.

  • Monitor recruiting activity and results, including pipeline health, time to fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance and new-hire retention.

School, Industry and Community Partnerships

  • Build meaningful relationships with massage therapy schools, esthetics programs, cosmetology schools, nail technology programs, nursing schools, nurse practitioner and physician assistant programs and aesthetic-training academies.

  • Create a consistent school-engagement strategy that includes classroom visits, career fairs, presentations, graduate outreach, alumni relationships and student events.

  • Develop relationships with instructors, career-services teams and program leaders to establish Hiatus as an employer of choice for graduating and experienced professionals.

  • Build partnerships with aesthetic educators, advanced-training providers, professional organizations, product representatives and respected industry professionals.

  • Partner with Allergan, Galderma, skincare lines and other industry representatives to expand Hiatus’s professional network and increase awareness of career opportunities.

  • Represent Hiatus at industry events, continuing-education programs, conferences and community networking opportunities.

  • Create talent communities that allow Hiatus to stay connected with promising professionals before the right position becomes available.

Hiring Events and Creative Recruiting

  • Plan and execute engaging hiring events, injector networking events, provider open houses, school events, career previews, practical events and recruiting pop-ups.

  • Develop out-of-the-box recruiting campaigns that reflect the Hiatus brand and attract professionals who may not be actively searching for a new opportunity.

  • Identify local partnership opportunities that expand Hiatus’s reach within the spa, wellness, beauty and medical-aesthetics communities.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Education and Operations on recruiting content, social media campaigns, provider spotlights and employer-branding initiatives.

  • Develop targeted recruiting strategies for difficult-to-fill roles, locations and schedules.

  • Regularly evaluate recruiting results and adjust strategies based on the needs of each position, location and market.

Leadership Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted talent partner to Regional Leaders, Spa General Managers, Med Spa leaders, Education and the People team.

  • Meet regularly with hiring leaders to review current openings, anticipated needs, candidate pipelines and recruiting priorities.

  • Help leaders define the experience, qualities and availability needed for each position.

  • Provide honest market feedback regarding candidate availability, compensation, competition and recruiting challenges.

  • Maintain urgency, accountability and consistent follow-through throughout the hiring process.

  • Support new-location openings and high-volume hiring initiatives as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Three or more years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with strong experience in medical aesthetics, spa, healthcare, beauty, wellness or a related industry.

  • Demonstrated success sourcing and hiring licensed service providers and medical professionals, including aesthetic injectors, massage therapists, estheticians or nail therapists.

  • Existing knowledge of the Houston spa and medical-aesthetics markets and their professional communities strongly preferred.

  • Experience developing passive-candidate pipelines rather than relying solely on job-board applicants.

  • Proven ability to build partnerships with massage schools, esthetics and cosmetology programs, nail technology programs, nursing schools, aesthetic-training programs and professional associations.

  • Experience planning hiring events, career fairs, networking events or grassroots recruiting initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of social sourcing through LinkedIn, Instagram and other relevant platforms.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and candidate-engagement skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple openings, locations and competing priorities with urgency and organization.

  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential candidate and employee information.

  • Comfortable using an applicant tracking system; ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.

  • Ability to travel throughout the Houston area and to other assigned Texas markets as business needs require.

You’ll Be Successful in This Role If You Are

  • Resourceful: You know how to find talented people who are not actively applying.

  • Connected: You enjoy building genuine relationships with providers, schools and industry partners.

  • Creative: You bring fresh recruiting ideas and are willing to test new approaches.

  • Driven: You move quickly, follow through and understand the impact every open position has on the business.
