As a Recruiter, you’ll own the full-cycle recruitment process for program vacancies throughout California, partnering closely with hiring managers to attract, identify, and hire amazing talent to support our programs and communities.
What You’ll Do 🚀
Own the Full Recruitment Cycle
From opening a position to welcoming a new hire, you’ll help make the hiring process smooth, engaging, and successful.

Kick Off the Search – Partner with hiring managers to understand new job requisitions, staffing priorities, and timelines.

Know Who We’re Looking For – Develop a strong understanding of each position and identify the must-haves, nice-to-haves, and qualities that make someone a great fit for Arc.

Find Great Talent – Lead sourcing efforts through job boards, social media, community partnerships, colleges, career fairs, and creative outreach strategies.

Connect with Candidates – Review applications, screen candidates, and identify individuals who align with the position and Arc’s needs.

Keep the Process Moving – Coordinate interviews, prepare candidates and hiring teams, and follow up to gather timely feedback.

Make the Offer! 🎉 – Partner with hiring managers and HR to extend offers, discuss compensation and start dates, and answer candidate questions.

Get New Hires Ready to Go – Support candidates through pre-employment steps and help ensure they are prepared for a successful first day.
Additional Responsibilities
- Develop, facilitate, and continuously improve all phases of the recruitment process.
- Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand current and upcoming staffing needs.
- Help create clear, accurate, and engaging job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Identify and implement effective recruiting strategies based on the role, location, talent market, and organizational needs.
- Manage job postings and recruitment advertising across appropriate platforms.
- Screen applications and identify qualified candidates.
- Coordinate interviews and support the development of effective interview questions and selection materials.
- Partner with hiring managers and Human Resources throughout the offer process, including compensation, start dates, and other important offer details.
- Deliver a positive and responsive candidate experience from first contact through hire.
- Build relationships with colleges, community organizations, workforce partners, and other recruiting resources.
- Represent Arc at career fairs, college recruiting events, community events, and hiring sessions.
- Think creatively about new ways to build talent pipelines and reach candidates in the communities we serve.
- Track recruiting activity and generate reports on open positions, candidate pipelines, offers, and hiring progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely candidate information throughout the recruitment process.
- Ensure recruitment practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and Arc policies.
- Pitch in on special projects and other People Team initiatives as needed.

QualificationsWhat You Bring to the Team 🌟
We’re looking for someone who loves connecting with people, can keep multiple priorities moving, and brings a positive, solutions-focused approach to recruiting. You don’t need to know everything on day one — but you should be ready to learn, collaborate, and take ownership of your work.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of recruiting experience, ideally supporting multiple positions or high-volume hiring.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to connect with candidates, hiring managers, and team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you know how to keep people informed and make the hiring process feel welcoming and organized.
- Comfortable with technology and learning new systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of priorities, and keep recruitment processes moving forward.
- Confidence partnering with and supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to jump in and support the team when needed.
- A professional, dependable approach with a strong commitment to integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple openings and projects at once.
- A solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to problem-solve, make thoughtful decisions, and navigate challenges.
- Flexibility and adaptability — recruiting priorities can change quickly, and you’re comfortable adjusting when they do.
- Most importantly, a commitment to Arc’s mission and our shared goal of creating meaningful experiential education opportunities for young people in the communities we serve.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Schedule & Position Details 🗓️
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position working 40 hours per week.
The Recruiter must be available during Arc’s core business hours to collaborate with candidates, hiring managers, and the broader team. Because recruiting sometimes happens outside the typical workday, occasional evening or weekend availability may be needed for career fairs, hiring events, recruiting sessions, or other business needs.
