    Human Resources Talent Acquisition Coordinator

    Job Summary:
    Serves as the key consultant, coach and critical partner in the recruiting, hiring, placement and job growth of the OAISD talent for all positions. Works with hiring managers to identify and place talent, facilitate the onboarding process, and retain employees. Analyzes and forecasts employment trends. Builds and maintains relationships with outside partners and builds talent pipeline.

    Essential Job Functions:

     
    • Provides direction on the OAISD’s workforce planning functions such as organizational talent forecasting, internal talent pipelining, career progression, and researches trends in the marketplace which impact recruitment and retention efforts.
    • Works collaboratively with hiring managers to ensure a competitive position in attracting and retaining top talent.
    • Designs and implements creative sourcing strategies to attract top talent; builds new channels that continually replenish the candidate pipeline with quality individuals based on hiring needs, market conditions, and current/projected operational needs.
    • Manages the career website, talent network, social media campaigns, and job boards.
    • Travels as needed, to ensure that recruitment objectives are met and that recruiting relationships are established, maintained and nurtured.
    • Reviews selection decisions to ensure substantive and procedural legal compliance and conducts reference and criminal records checks.
    • Collects and compiles data with respect to referral sources for successful and unsuccessful applicants.
    • Analyzes, assesses and provides feedback from evaluation instruments, including pre-tests of employee knowledge and skills, to hiring managers.
    • Performs other functions as assigned.
    Education and Experience:
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration, Management or a related field combined with one year progressively responsible experience in employee recruitment and selection, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience in the education sector is valued.
     
    Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Working knowledge of federal and state statutes governing the employment relationship, including, but not limited to, FLSA; Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Elliot-Larsen Civil Rights Act; ADA; ADEA; and Bullard-Plawecki Right to Know Act; etc.
    • Working knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources administration.
    • Thorough working knowledge of Benefits and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
    • Thorough understanding of confidentiality and employee right to privacy issues, including HIPAA provisions.
    • Working knowledge of the principles and practice of targeted selection, behaviorally based interviewing and active listening.
    • Good knowledge of marketing practices and principles.
    • Computer literacy, including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database management and internet search applications software.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.
    • Good organizational skills.

    Compensation and Details:
    • Pay: $68,800-$86,000
    • Schedule: Full-time, Year-Round, 261 days per year.
    • Employee Group: Non-union salary
    • Benefits: Full benefits package, including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. MPSERS provided retirement plan.
    • FLSA: Non-exempt
